Julia was lying on a bed in the city hospital. Chief got in the room with an upset face and had a look at the patient. Julia was unconscious, and she was looking pale.
"Well, Argent." sighed Chief, "I had no idea about an overdose medicine could harm people this much."
She sighed again and kept talking like Julia could hear her.
"But I wonder, why antidepressant? Was life that hard for you?"
Chief let all of her control off. She was about to cry.
"I... if you die... I...can't stand to be responsible for another death..."
Chief shook her head like she had just reached a solution.
"No, no,no. I shouldn't be hopeless. And I can't spend any more time here, I have a lot of work to do."
She left the room.
One hour later, Julia had another visitor: Devineaux, who got expelled from ACME. (If you want to know how he learned it, Chief called him.) I think it was clear that everyone decided to act like Julia was conscious, Chase started to talk:
"Hello, Ms. Argent. It's...weird to see you like this. Once, I was lying on a bed, and you were sitting on a chair." Chase hesisated for a moment, but he continued:
"I... I... want to say... I'm sorry. I'm so so so sorry. For being a bad partner. For acting rude. For trying to keep your mouth shut. I... I wish I could tell your face." He gulped and left the room.
