Vol 3 - Week 8 (3)

Start from the beginning

Not only that, there are times when he goes on vacation. Most of the time, this overlaps with business trips, family events or social events, but they are still breaks. However, this is the first time he has taken a true break without anything tied up. It is so distant that he even feels lost.

But at the same time... this is somewhat comfortable, too.

Throughout the sudden break, Karlyle thinks about Ash. He thinks about him countless times, even when he is sick and suffering, so this is natural.

What's more, Ash has told Karlyle that he loves him. The moment he heard the confession was so sad that it didn't make sense to him, but as soon as he found peace, the confession has taken over Karlyle's soul.

Ash looked straight at him and told him three times that he loved Karlyle. Whether he is awake or not, he keeps hearing those words over and over again. All sorts of impulses seduce Karlyle. Something whispers in his ears that there is no need to think anymore after hearing the confession.

But something keeps bothering him. There are some things that make Karlyle uncomfortable, as if he is standing on very small stones. The problem is that Karlyle isn't quite sure what makes him feel so.

A week after meeting Ash, Karlyle finally makes the decision. For once, he wants to meet Ash again. The weekend is approaching. Ash asked to meet again, but there is no contact in the meantime.

It's understandable. Kyle is the only way Ash can contact him, and Karlyle has made it clear to Kyle that he doesn't have to worry too much about his business. So it's right for Karlyle to contact Ash first.

Recalling Ash's words to meet one more time, Karlyle considers when it would be the good time to contact him.

Maybe the weekend would be nice.

While attending the party Aiden has invited, Karlyle makes that decision.

"Karlyle."

Aiden calls him, who is busy organizing his thoughts in a complicated mood. Having been staring at the chessboard, Karlyle raises his gaze. Aiden has a strange expression on his face. He looks interested, but at the same time there is some dislike.

"Did you invite him?"

Karlyle frowns slightly at the vague question. Aiden points his finger out the window. Karlyle follows his finger and turns his gaze. Soon, his eyes widen. His heart starts beating before his head can even recognize the situation.

It's Ash coming through the entrance to the mansion.

No matter how loud his heart is welcoming Ash, the hard to understand situation makes Karlyle blinks for a moment. The party today is held by Marquis Gordon, and Aiden, who took advantage of the recent meeting as an opportunity, has skillfully got an invitation.

One of the aristocrats' hobbies is to create fashions with new materials, and good artists are often found at a Salon like this. Collecting or discussing their works is also an entertainment. Today's party is for these purposes, too.

However, this is a party that only those who have connections with Marquis Gordon can attend. In other words, the majority are nobles. It's not that there are no ordinary people, but most of them are people who have long put their feet in upper-class society.

This is a world where even politicians or millionaires are looked down on. His father Jonathan is an example.

Karlyle inherits half of his mother's blood so he isn't treated like that, but Jonathan is looked down on right at his face. Nobles don't show it straightforwardly, but there is a lot of ridicule in their words that can be realized if you think about it.
