Once Zully dropped Leah at her Villa. She settled on a lounge chair at the balcony. She had served herself a bottle of orange juice.

It was only Wednesday and she was desperately praying for the weekend to come. The week had been exhausting. Leah cleared her mind and focus on the view. She knew things would be exhausting since she left Lagos State in search of a greener pastures.

In truth she didn't search for long because she got an employment and had moved to Delta State. Truth be told her greener pasture motive was not only to find a Job but rather get away from someone.

The sad Truth was that Her ex boyfriend Timi proposed to her after two years of dating. A very acceptable number of courting if one were to decide. Leah had rejected the proposal for reasons best know to her and oh Boy she had been glad she did.

Timi obviously couldn't take the rejection and had embarrassed her the best possible way he could.

Leah shuddered as the scene flashes before her eyes. Here she was thinking she could clear her mind but her overthinking self hate a free clear mind.

Something was always on her mind.

The experience of the embarrassment lived with her and she was so glad she had rejected the proposal. Imagine if she hasn't she would have been binded to a selfish man forever. As serious as the situation had been, she and Zully still made joke about it. Leah told Zully what she needed to hear. She skipped the important details because it was best she kept the embarrassing parts to herself.

It helped because as Zully made joke's About her freaking out over a proposal it became clearer to Leah as to why she really did reject it.

And she was so glad she did.

Her cellphone rings....it was her mother.

"Hi Mom" Leah took a deep breath.

"You must be busy" her mother says. Her mother is a typical African woman, it was better to let her assume that she was still at work than telling her that she's at her friend's house staring at the view that made her heart melt when it was not yet 6pm.

"Yes mum, busy day" it was the truth, there was no lie in that either.

"Oh dear I will call you later in the day"

"It's fine mom" Leah pressed

"Alright, I told Steven to bring the girl and the boy still wouldn't listen"

Oh boy...

"Mom give him time, he would come to his senses"

"His senses, He is to travel in November alright, that's two months from now. There's no Time to give Leah"

"Trust me mom"

"Why can't he just be like you"

Here she was wishing she could be like her brother. Living in the moment and throwing caution into the air.

"He needs to be responsible" Her mother continued.

That was the straw. Leah wanted to be responsible. Infact she was too responsible for her own good. It got her no where though. She was still single and alone. She has a lot of friends right but Zully is the actual friend.

You earned good cash and have a nice job....her consciousness reminded.

Okay it's was still a win win.

"I will talk to him" Leah says

"Samson too as well. Just because he's writing his final paper doesn't mean he shouldn't call his mother"
