“Ji Yeon! Wake up!” my mom called from downstairs.
Ahh, it’s Saturday let me sleep!! I hesitantly got up from my bed and checked the time. 11:00
I was about to go back to my bed when “JI YEON!! WAKE UP NOW!” ahhhh wae. I pouted at myself in the mirror then slowly crawled downstairs.
“Yes ma?” I asked. She was busy in the kitchen.
“Ji Yeon-ah, you should get ready now, our new neighbours are coming over for lunch” New neighbours? When did the Park’s move?
I nodded and made my way back upstairs to shower.
When I got out I quickly got changed into a grey tank top and black jeans with my EXO necklace. Since we weren’t going out, I thought I shouldn’t have to dress up too much.
“Why are they coming here again?” I asked my mom who was rushing around the kitchen. “I just thought it would be nice to welcome them and make friends! They have a son your age Ji Yeon! So be nice”
“Umma, I’m always nice”
“HAHAHAHA NICE MY ASS“ A voice called from behind me.
“CHANGJOE! Be nice to your sister!” My mom shouted, making us both jump and I burst out laughing at my stupid brother.
“Shut up you” He whispered as we both entered the living room.
We sat down and watched the TV, SHINee were doing the random dance game on weekly idol. Wow, SM groups are usually good but with SHINee, you can tell how much extra effort they put.
I was admiring Taemin when Changjoe kicked me. “Ow!! What the hell!?”
He took the remote from me and switched the T.V off. “I don’t want you getting close to the neighbours son, okay?” He said with his great poker face.
My brother has always been pretty protective but there was something in his eyes with more seriousness than how he usually says these things. “O-okay oppa” I said, confused at his sudden demand.
“Promise?” He asked. “Oppa, I promise I won’t get close to him!” I laughed, making him laugh along with me. “Good” He said and switched the T.V back on.
“Why though?” I turned to face him once again.
“Didn’t you see him at school yesterday? He’s really cold, and rude, he’s not someone I want you around Ji Yeon. He’ll hurt you if you get too attached.” I nodded slowly listening to his words.
Before I could say anything the door bell rang, it was them. Mr and Mrs Lee and their son. L.joe.
We sat around the table. My parents were speaking to the Lee’s and L.joe was seated in front of me. Changjoe couldn’t join us for lunch as he was meeting his girlfriend.
We didn’t talk at the table. Hmm... this guy does seem pretty cold. I think Changjoe was right, I should stay away. I washed my dish and bowed before going upstairs and entering my room again. I was about to start some work when I heard someone knock on my door..
I opened it and there he was.
Omo, he’s really ... wow. I didn’t want to look at him at the table cause of the awkward eye contact but now... I see him... and he’s.... he’s beautiful. His blonde hair covered most of his face but it wasn’t enough to cover up his soft looking lips. Ahhh, wut am i thinking!?
“Hey, L.joe!” I tired to sound as casual as possible but his looks were killing me inside.
“Hey, Ji Yeon, can I come in?” I nodded and he closed the door behind him and sat on my bed next to me. “Ji Yeon, you come to my school, right?” I nodded again. His voice is so husky and just wow.
“I never saw you yesterday, Ji Yeon.” He looked at me innocently.
“I don’t think I saw you either, what’s your timetable?”
He thought for a sec then got up and opened my window. Huh? What’s he doing? Once it was open he climbed out and jumped into the window next door. Oooh! His room in right next to mine! Ha, we can just climb into each other’s room anytime! I laughed to myself.
He jumped back to my room with his time table and smiled. “Here” he said handing it to me. I couldn’t help but smile back. I looked at it. “ahh, we only have two classes together L.joe”
He pouted at me.
“Why?” I asked, almost dying from his cuteness.
“I wish we were in every class together.” He said, still pouting cutely.
I blushed and looked down. He noticed my pink cheeks and smiled. “I haven’t made any friends yet... Ji Yeon.”
I turned back to him, meeting his gaze.
“except you.” He continued.
“I don’t have many friends at school L.joe, if you want to be popular, you shouldn’t be my friend.” I said, remembering my brother’s words.
“Ji Yeon-ah, I don’t care about being popular, I want to be your friend”
“L.joe-“
He interrupted “Call me oppa!” He said with a cute eye smile which I then returned.
“Okay, oppa, let’s be friends!” I said, ignoring my promise to my brother.
