Countdown Till Mayhem, an Evade Fanfic

AUTHOR'S NOTE

I started this July 1st of 2023, this is reworked to fit the lore more as well as the lore I made. This note is only here because it's always been here, I would not have it if I had the option to remove it.

I have since redone this on January 1st, 2025, and for a while stopped updating because of my mental health. Since I am doing better, I'm going to attempt to get this done once more; since I'll be doing this again, I also want to tweak the chapters again.

I won't be publishing said chapters till I finish them this time, I feel like a bad author the way I keep pre-publishing.

I've posted a legacy version of this just for keepsake

There will be dark tones in this, heed the tags. However I still want this to be kinda silly like how I originally intended so expect stupid things.

This was originally on Wattpad but I've gotten way more used to AO3 so obviously I've moved this there, but this doesn't mean I won't stop updating it on Wattpad as I know people also read there.

2nd person point of view (POV)

-most of the paragraphs you'll read will address you as well, you.

-e.g. you stared at the screen as you read this example.

Don't bother translating things, I'll leave translations at the end of chapters-or do if you wanna for some reason.

-Why at the end? Because if it's a different language for example then the Player wouldn't understand it either.

-I do not like having to translate things whilst I'm reading so that's why, if there's something cryptic I'll hint at that at the start of a chapter.

The player is gender neutral 

—gender isn't relevant, I'll use they/them when other characters address you.

–In this fic, the player is 15-17, and for this reason relationships are platonic and/or jokes.

The map/environment was always more detailed than in the original evade, though now I guess you can think of the maps as the ones in the overhaul.

All the evade characters will be added, with time of course.

-They keep getting mischaracterized (I'm scared I might do this) so Imma try keep them closer to canon? As in: no, the rebels aren't gonna kiss you on the lips instead of killing you

-Side characters and background characters will have to be there, there isn't THAT many evade characters.. and adding to this, side characters aren't too important.
