You can’t always get what you want. But if you try sometimes, you just might find you get what you need. - The Rolling Stones

They don't make songs like 1D anymore, isn't it?

Advika's POV:

"Come on kids, hurry up! It's not good to be late on a particular day. Jeez! don't know what they'll think of us?" said my mother, panicking.

"They'll think we have no sense of time, that we arrived forty-five minutes early." Taunting, Adi left the house, while munching chocolate. Surely she doesn't want to die...

Mum glared at her disappearing figure, bhai and I laughed softly. She was right, though! Mum turned towards us, glaring. keeping our mouths shut we quietly followed her to the car. mum is more anxious than Bhai... She sat on the passenger seat, dad was driving. And the rest of us sat in the back seat.

I'm so damn sleepy… I yawned, keeping my head on Adi's shoulder. as I closed my eyes, she exclaimed excitedly, "Bro, I'm so excited! You're finally getting married, I'm going to buy lots of clothes and makeup!"

Her obsession with shopping is just too much!

"Hold your horses... It's not like I'm getting married tomorrow, it's just a meeting. Isn't it Mom?" Bhai's hesitating voice came, he patted me on the shoulder. I glanced up at him with sleepy eyes. "Do people normally offer that much stuff just for a few minutes meeting?" he asked in a whisper, pointing to the gifts our mother had bought for them. Shrugging my shoulders, I chuckled, Poor Him!

Mum grinned gleefully.. As soon as Bhai got the expected answer, he sighed, putting his head on my shoulder. Since Aashna's house was a little far from ours, Bhai and I took a nap and our chatbox countinued chatting about all the nonsense in the world!

How is she always energetic?

Don't know when I dozed off but the next time I opened my eyes, mum was raving at us "For God's sake, Yug and Advi, Which border were you both guarding at night, why are you sleeping like donkeys? From today on I'll be keeping your phones with me at night!" I slowly opened my eyes, only to come across her menacing gaze.

Headlines; A Mother killed her kids for sleeping like sloth on special day!

I smiled sheepishly, shaking my brother, who was dozing soundly on my shoulder; "Mumma, what is my fault in this? Punish them only- Ouch! Bhai.!" Adi was arguing..bhai smacked the back of her head, I laughed out loud.

"Mumma!!! Your son is beating me and she is laughing at me," she continued whining. The more she complained, the more we laughed, which was absolutely the wrong idea because for the next five minutes our mother lectured us.

"You siblings, keep your behavior in check, I don't want any complaints from anyone," ordered Dad, as mum asked him to stop the car a little far from their house.

Why???

He turned back to see our responses; I was strongly urging him to deny.. to wear out his patience, but still I nodded like everyone else.

Psstt.... No fun!

"Mumma, how much longer do we have to wait here in the car? Why aren't we going inside?" Bhai voiced.  Exactly my question! Why aren't we in yet? Before mother could speak, Adi replied; "Bro, why do you think? We are twenty one minutes early," we looked at mum, she was already digging holes at Adi. And then for the rest of the ten minutes she lectured again about how kids nowadays talk to their parents and how great the kids were back then. How other children are obedient and we are not. (for example: Divit, Twins, Rish and even Hardik.) which was totally crap!
