Discovering new rules to apply to this business. On many occasions I went to bed in wonder, explaining why I had not been able to foresee a certain imminent move, and woke up in the early hours of the next morning with a new idea formulated. I was impatient for the morning to come on to start checking my records of past moves to determine if the new idea had merit. In most facilities it was far from 100% certain, but what was good about it was tucked away in my subconscious mind. Perhaps, later on, another idea would take shape and I would immediately set to work to verify it. Over time, these various ideas began to crystallize and I was able to develop a concrete method of keeping records such that I could use them as a guide. My theory and practical application proved to my satisfaction, nothing new ever happens in the business of speculate or invest in securities or commodities. 'I' here are times to speculate, and just as surely there are times not to speculate. There is a very true adage: "You can win a horse race, but you can't.
