*Jake POV*

I check the clock on the computer. It's already taking too long to arrive. I'm getting worried, should I go out looking for her? It might be risky, but I don't like her to be alone. Iwas supposed to take care of her, what if something happened to her?
I put the chat window to write where she is so I can look her up, and, as if she read my mind again, she texts me.

I've had a fight with an old lady!
She stole the ingredients I needed to cook dinner
Can you believe it? 😡

I laugh at the simple idea of imagining her fighting with an old woman. She is trying way too hard to take care of me when she should be the other way around.

And who has won the battle?

MC
Well...
Her 😒

Jake
The big MC can use her big talk on scam locksmiths, people who write to her accusing her of kidnapping.
But she can't handle a old lady.

MC
Hey...
Are you laughing at me?

Jake
No.

You wouldn't laugh if they wanted to hit you with a cane 😒

Jake
Has she harmed you?

MC
No
But I saw how then she pretended to fall
Don't trust the old food thieves
They are beasts

I smile looking at the screen. I'm sure if she saw me, I'd be annoyed because it seemed like I was watching her like a... Well, maybe I was just amused because I haven't had that much fun with someone in a long time.
I try to calm myself because my heart is beating fast.

I'm sorry Jake...
I won't be able to cook you something good...

Jake
Anything you make will already be delicious.
Even some popcorn.

MC
You are too kind to me 😞

Jake
Also because I was worrying that you wouldn't make it home.

MC
You are worried?

Jake
Yes.
I almost went out to look for you.

MC
I would have sent you a message if something had happened
I had left work with my friend, who took me by car to the store
But I appreciate that you wanted to come out and look for me 😉
