Chapter LXIV

"Yes."

"Why are we here?" Don't tell me your planning to find me an adoptive parents, my mom can still raise me on her own Liela."

Then she smack my head.

"Stupid! Of course not! Your taller than the nuns here and you look like a fine woman coming from a wealthy family. Look at how soft your skin looks, do you think you'll get adopted?"

Wow she literally hurt my ego by saying no one would want t adopt me.

"Of course there is. I mean, who wouldn't want to have such a beauty daughter. Mom would ever trade me just to have that cute kitten one time in the market."

Liela just giggled. Well it's not even new, it's no big deal to say that i somehow gather a lot a attention so it will be easier for me to be adopted but I don't want to be adopted either.

"Okay fine i'll tell Sister Lauren to endorse you."

"But..."

"But what?"

"I'm scared this orphanage will be bombarded with people just to adopt me. I mean look at me." I teased.

"Arghh! Fine! Goodness I don't know where you even get that over confident behavior of yours." She smiled and pulled me with her. " Let's go inside."

Then we were greeted with a lot of nuns inside, they were smiling from ear to ear as we pass through each one of them.

Looking at them makes me wonder if they ever have freedom when they give full commitment to God and to the church... What if they fall inlove? What if they did a great sin? What if they can't stop their human nature. I mean one of the greatest weakness of human beings is being inlove. We cannot stop the heart, and I guess sisters and nuns also felt that.

"You okay?" She asked looking at me.

"Yeah, i'm fine." I replied.  What are we doing here?"

"Someone here would want to meet you again."

"Again? Does that mean we have met before?"

"Yes Phi."

Then Liela just smiled looking at my shock expression and when I turned behind my back, I saw Patrice looking at me happily and we both run over each other as I embrace her into a tight hug. A bone crashing one to be exact.

"Pattttt!" I half yelled, I don't want to scream much louder since this is a holy place.

"I missed you Phi." Patrice replied as we both pulled a little from the hug.

"You grown a little taller, your features also change over a few months. Oh God my baby is growing fast." I teared up and Liela just laugh at my reaction.

"Thank you... I really miss this little one here." I pulled Liela in a hug and I feel how she tense up but eventually hugged me back.

"Your welcome."

"Is this our final stop?"

"Of course no, this is just the introduction Freen. I wouldn't let this day slip without spending most of this time with you and Pat."

"Yeah right.  But where are we going next?"

" Can we go to the park? Let's bring Liela with us."

"Sure i'm okay with it." I replied. " Do you want that little bud?"

"Yes Phi, I want to go to the park with P'Freen and P'Liela."

"That's good then... But i'll ask permission for mom first okay?" Liela bid her short goodbye and me and Pat sat on the bench near the entrance.
