"that's correct, you've made me clinically insane," charlotte rasped out. "come to my place tomorrow morning and call your stylist."

"this is so last minute, my teams gonna kill me," gracie groaned. "hey will jude be at the premiere?"

"yup. i invited basically everyone and maddie's only brining jenna and her sister," charlotte chuckled. "jenna's nice though, she and jude are kinda close."

gracie nodded, handing charlotte her coffee and taking a bite of her bagel.

"and don't worry, if my parents do speak to us, they're not invited to the after party, i made sure if that," charlotte smugly said. she then excitedly gasped, face lighting up like a child's, "and we can finally get drunk together with my friends!"

"why does it seem like you're more excited for that than the actual premiere?"

"cause i am."

"that was so good, ugh holly's gonna sob when you do it," maddie said once charlotte finished reading out her prepared speech. "you gonna memorize it?"

"god no, i always carry my speeches up with me, if i try and memorize it i just blank while up there and say some unhinged shit," charlotte replied.

"yeah that seems like you," maddie nonchalantly said. "so anyways, you have some explaining to do pip. three days ago, the internet blows up because you're apparently dating gracie abrams, and like last night she posted you, and i NEVER heard about this?" she dramatically said with her jaw hung open.

charlottes face went red, "we've been dating since before the pictures got leaked. matthew was just pretending to be my boyfriend to cover for us. wanna know who outed us?"

"who?"

"her ex boyfriend, alex monaghan," charlotte said, the name leaving a bad taste in her mouth. "yeah, thanks to him my parents literally hate me, so do hers, but like that's not going to change anything really. she's coming to the premiere tomorrow."

maddie's eyes widened, "for real? as much as this is the craziest thing i've heard all year, i'm all for it, i think you guys are cute, and she doesn't seem like she'd screw you over."

charlotte smirked, "thanks mads. hey, so after the after party tomorrow wanna come back to my place with gracie and everyone, like sadie and them? where we can actually get blackout instead of just tipsy at the after party."

"obviously," maddie replied. "i feel like you look forward to the drinking part of events more than the actual event."

"doesn't everyone?" charlotte genuinely asked.

maddie rolled her eyes, "so, tell me more about your mysterious relationship, you owe me this for keeping it a secret from me."

charlotte laughed and fell back next to her on the couch. where could she even begin?

"what do you wanna know?"

"well, she's the first girl you've ever dated right? i mean after matthew you just hooked up with randos and we're done with them after a day or two, then when you got bored of that you had zero talking stages —no offence—and then bam out of no where, gracie abrams?" maddie panned out.
