SITTING DOWN ON her bed was kyawo sighing as she continued to try and finish up her studying for the test she had the next morning that was over african american studies.

    Opening her room door was Terry with popeyes in his hand, locking the door he placed the food on the desk. "You still aint done studying this shit?" terry asked, taking off his shoes revealing his white socks as he walked over towards kyawo getting on the small bed.

"No, i can't even focus on it" kyawo sighed "shit if i wasnt high right now i would help you, but my mind aint minding right now"

"Thanks for the help," Kyawo said sarcastically as she continued to scroll through the Quizlet cards on her computer, reviewing them the best way she could.

     Terry closed her computer, saying, "Knowing you, you already have this down pat. Don't stress over anything, you've got this." Terry's words provided motivation, and Kyawo smiled while rolling her eyes, replying, "You might be right."

"I'm always right. Now come and eat this food, girl," Terry said, tapping her legs as an invitation for her to get up and follow him to get the food.

"Of course you get Popeyes," Kyawo laughs at him because Popeyes was Terry's favorite thing to eat when he was high.

"You know this, man. It's the only way I can function for real," Terry says, putting hot sauce on his chicken and taking a bite.

"Where amber ass go? She supposed to be up in here with us, I know June said he had shit to do" Terry said, remembering that his friend June was busy but they had all planned to hang out tonight.

"Amber got this little podcast group thing she's at, she'll be back later" kyawo said confirming that amber would be back.
