Chapter Nine - Perfect harmony

"What is it?" I asked him.

" Well, umm I, umm."

"Just tell me!" I told him. He stared at me.

"Well I umm I wanted to talk to you earlier at the Orpheum, remember?" I nodded. "Well, I wanted to say, I really, really like you. Like more than friends, and I wanted to tell you this for a while now but stuff got in the way."

I stared in awe at his confession. I couldn't believe it, he liked me. I couldn't find words to respond back to him so I got off my bed and made my way to my dream box, pulled something out of it then I sat next to him on the bed and handed him the song. He stared at it.

"I wrote this song about you, about us." Then something I had only dreamed about happened.

He sang the words to me then handed me the paper and I began.

Then we sang together in acapella. I stared into his eyes.

I never thought this would happen. It was crazy Luke was singing my love song with me.

The song ended and I had never felt so incredible. Luke liked me. I thought I would never have a better moment than this. But I was wrong.

"I've always wanted to sing that song with you." I told him.

"There's something I've wanted to do..." Before I knew exactly what was happening I felt Luke lean in. When I realized, I felt his lips touch mine. My first kiss, with the guy I never thought I could have, the guy I didn't even know I needed.

"That was my first kiss" I laughed

"Jules, will you go out with me?" He asked. I smiled at him.

"I will and umm, thank you Luke. I couldn't have done any of this with you"

"That goes both ways, you've helped me connect with my music so,so much." He wrapped his arms around me. I wish he would never let go. I felt better wrapped safely in his arms. It felt like even with everything that's happening, I somehow was safe, and maybe even the luckiest girl in the world.
