PRIYA KUMAR AND Ricky Bowen had been best friends since they were kids. Since preschool, to be exact, when Ricky stole Priya's toy truck and she made him eat sand. They had come a long way from the naive young kids they once were. Their promise was to be close always. Side by side, forever.
THAT ALL CHANGED FRESHMAN YEAR.
OVER THE SUMMER, Priya blossomed. She was no longer 'one of the guys.' She got swept up in the popular crowd, particularly after becoming a cheerleader and getting involved with theater. They had less and less time for each other. And when Ricky started dating his other best friend, Nini Salazar-Roberts, their sophomore year, time was even more strapped.
THEIR FRIENDSHIP FADED AWAY.
NOW, IN THEIR junior year, Ricky has joined theater in order to attempt to win Nini back. In the process, he and Priya's paths intertwine once more. In the midst of training Ricky so he doesn't embarrass himself in front of the entire school on opening night, Priya finds herself beginning to develop feelings for Ricky.
