Chapter One

Harry's P.O.V.

"Harry, we've got to leave in a few minutes. You need to get out of bed. I'm not going to say it again," Paul's voice bounced off of the walls of my bedroom, soon followed by the sound of his boots hitting the wooden floor of the apartment until I was once again enveloped in silence.

I groaned and picked myself up and out of bed, dragging my feet towards the linoleum tile of my bathroom where I climbed into the shower, letting the cold water soak my curly hair.

I knew what the day held and I couldn't have been less excited.

Once I had brushed my teeth, dressed and eaten, we were in the car and on our way to our interview. I was sitting in between Liam and Zayn. Louis and Niall were across from us on the next set of seats. Paul was behind the steering wheel with Lou next to him, the two of them in a deep conversation about the band's attire and what she had in mind for our next tour's theme.

The boys glanced at me repetitively; their eyes holding so much worry and curiosity that it took all of my strength to not snap at them. They were not easing my nerves at all.

"Would you guys quit it?" I muttered.

It was quiet for a few moments.

"Sorry, mate. We're just worried about you. You know that," Niall spoke up. The group nodded, Lou and Paul oblivious to our conversation as they couldn't hear us.

"I know but the looks you're giving me aren't making me feel any better."

"You'll be okay. We'll be there on stage with you," he replied.

"I know but I just hate being skewered about my dating life and cast as this hormonal playboy."

"The people that matter know you're not what they say. Don't listen to them."

"That's easier said than done."

"At least you're not known for something horrendous, like cheating or something," Louis spoke up.

I chuckled.

"Even worse, someone that can't get a date at all," Liam said.

"Hey! That's not fair. I just haven't found the right girl yet," Niall said. He'd never had a girlfriend and was very sensitive about it.

"Your time will come, buddy," Zayn said, patting his head.

We eventually pulled up to the studio and exited the car, immediately being thrown into a sea of raving fans, something I should have considered normal by now. I nodded to a few of them, flashing some a grin before running towards the entrance and basically flying through the door.

"Harry," Louis said as I tried to locate our dressing room.

I grunted.

"The dressing room is this way," He replied, gesturing for me to follow him.

Everyone spread out onto the couches in the wide and narrow room while Zayn got his hair done by Lou. Liam scooted closer to my side and put his arm over my shoulders, patting my arm in support and sending me a smile.

"Don't worry about it, okay? I've heard this interviewer's nice," he reassured me.

"You say that every time," I replied.

"Well I lied all the other times. Ella told me this one's more optimistic than most. She's chiller." Ella was Liam's girlfriend in the girl band 'Futuramas'.

I laughed. "Thanks mate."

"It's alright, man."

"30 minutes until show time, boys," someone called out.

We muttered differed responses as Zayn and Niall switched spots, Niall now getting his hair done.

"Well, Harry." I sighed, here it comes. Pictures of me and other girls appeared on the screen behind us as she continued. "You're known to be a bit of a player."

"Am I? I had no idea," I replied bluntly, my face remaining neutral.

She played it off with a laugh. "How many girls have you been with?"

"All of the girls displayed in those pictures are my friends."

"Right," she said with a smile, winking at the crowd.

My blood seemed to be boiling.

"Anyone you have a crush on right now? Or is there anyone you'd hope to be photographed with next?"

"No."

"Oh come on, there has to be someone."

The blood rushed to my head in complete anger.

"There's really not-"

"Just tell us, Harry! We don't bite. Maybe we can hook you two up, not that you need any help, am I right ladies?" the crowd cheered in response.

Every essence of my body seemed to want me to throw my hands up and scream "FUCK IT".

So I did.

"Do you know what would be even better? Why don't I just kiss someone right now on live television? Why don't I just go outside, grab a fan and give her a proper snog for you, right now?"

I stood up and marched off of the stage, ignoring all the madness and confusion unfolding behind me and making my way to the entrance of the building. I swung the doors open and searched the sea of people outside, locking gaze with a girl that was being pressed up to the bars holding all the fans back.

I didn't even give it a second thought before I strode towards her, grabbing her face in my hands and slamming my lips to hers.
