☆Technos POV☆

Why is this my life? I didn't sign up for babysitting. Now I have to do it during the apocalypse.

"Tommy, stay near me." I hear Wilbur whisper. They had wandered off a little bit ago but I figured they just fell behind. When I couldn't hear their footsteps anymore I had stopped waiting for them to catch up.

"What are you two doing?" I ask them. Gods, they are gonna be the death of me. They fell quiet before Tommy jumped down from a tree in front of me, Wilbur following close behind.

"Will the both of you stop? Phil sent us on a supplies run and I'd rather not return with one of you bleeding or dead." I said, sighing.

"We're fine Techno." Tommy said.

I stop while he continues to walk. Tommy takes one step forward before tripping over a piece of asphalt.

"Point proven." I remark as I continued to walk.

Wilbur helps him up while laughing. They act like the world isn't ending. I wish I could say the same.

"Tommy. Wilbur. Go rummage around that building. Try to find some food and medical supplies." I said gesturing towards a somewhat intact building. Wilbur nodded and walked in. Tommy groaned, rubbing his hands on his jeans before following Wilbur. I'll go to the gas station. Maybe it has water.

Any liquid at this point would be great. A side effect of the apocalypse, it hasn't rained since it started.

The door to the gas station is glass and still intact so I have high hopes for this. I open the door and a bell ring. I hear a shuffle from the back room. That's probably not good. I rest my hand on my sword while I raid the shelves for any source of water.

The first shelf didn't have anything but on the next shelf there were a few bottles of water, some batteries, and some duct tape. I shove them in my bag and go behind the counter.

Since this is the apocalypse, most buildings, let alone gas stations, didn't have much of anything in them. Then again the building looked like it wasn't looted at all, so I might have some luck.

There I found some cigarettes, a hammer, and a bag of sour worms. A little treat for Tommy. I release a faint smile and stuff everything else in my bag.

I cautiously walked to the back room where I heard the noise. Couldn't hurt to kill one more zombie. I walk inside the room. There's a box outside the door with a blanket in it and an old dinner plate, full of rotten food. That's got to be at least half a year old.

The door beside it is shut. I assume the door is locked but try the handle anyway. It isn't locked but something definitely moved inside the room when I wiggled the knob. I ready my sword before opening the door. There was a small zombie in the corner, not paying any mind to me, but when I opened the door it heard me.

It turned and charged at me. I sliced its head in half.

That was normal here but why was it shut in the closet? I mean those little fuckers are fast. I'm sure someone had shut it in there so they didn't have to kill it.

I decided to take the blanket that was in the box. Winter is coming, and we need all the supplies and blankets we can get our hands on. Though it is only July, I take it and hold it up. It's not the thickest blanket but it's not too thin either. I fold it up; It wont fit in my messenger bag so I carry it in my arms.

I can hear Tommy and Wilbur bickering in the street. Those two can't be left alone. I walked out to them and Tommy is clenching his fist like he's going to punch Wil. oh no. I quickly yell out to them.

"What are you guys fighting about?" I ask, slightly annoyed.

"Wilbur found an ax! He said I'm 'too young' to have a weapon even though I-" He argued, way too fast for anyone to understand.
