As we got into the car my phone bussed, 'hey, you free tomorrow? we can go to the movies?' olivia ( a girl he knows or goes to school with) asked. 'no.' I replied. "What does she want now?" Pearl asked. She hates Olivia. I do too. She is always trying to get with me. Even when I tell her I'm not interested, she still asks. I wish she'd just fuck off. "She asked if I wanted to go to the movies with her tomorrow." She didn't say anything she just rolled her eyes. Pearl hummed along to the quiet rap music that was playing the bluetooth. She was so pretty. Especially when she didn't even realize it. I wish she would see me how I see her. She is the only person I have cared for apart from Fez and my Grandma. She is the most perfect person in the world. I would do anything for her. We were about 10 minutes away. "Ashtray." She said. "sup" I had realised I had been staring at her for way too long. "Why were you staring at me?" shit. "Uh. I wasn't. I was just joined out." What type of pathetic answer was that? "Ah right." She said as she turned away with a smirk on her lips.
We arrived at the McDonalds drive thru. "Hello. Welcome to McDonalds. What would you like today?" I told the man our orders. I didn't even need to ask what Pearl wanted. She gets the same every time. I have it memorized.
I drove to a nearby park so we could eat our food. As we arrived, my phone buzzed again. *incoming call from fez 💯* I put it on speaker. 'hey' i said. 'when are you going to be back?' he asked. I looked at Pearl. "You can stay at mine if you want." She said. 'im gonna sleep at Pearls.' 'okay'. he ended the call. Me and Pearl layed next to eachother on the grass. I passed Pearl my airpod and phone. "You pick" She opened spotify and put on her playlist.
We sat like this for about 35 minutes before she said,"Come on the swings with me."
