The next morning Cheryl woke up first but she wasn't feeling sick in a nauseated way, she was feeling upset without Toni so she just sat on the front step of the Cooper house
Betty- "Cheryl? What are you doing out here?"
Cheryl- "I-I just needed some air I guess"
Betty- "you could've woken me up"
She sat next to her and took her hand
Cheryl- "I know, I just needed some time to process everything I think"
Betty- "and..?"
Cheryl- (sighs) "in a few months, I'm going to have someone who relies on me, someone who if I don't take care of would hate me. What if I let him or her down? What if something happens?"
Betty- "you're going to be a fantastic mother Cheryl, I promise you that"
Cheryl- "um, I actually wanted to ask.. I heard you and Polly a little bit last night and I wanted ask about you"
Betty- "what about me?"
Cheryl- "is it my fault you're scared about the future?"
Betty- "not at all, it's a lot but I'm okay. Please don't worry about me right now"
She took her hand and kissed it before Cheryl laid her head on her shoulder
Betty- "do you wanna see Toni?"
Betty already knew the answer to that question but she wanted confirmation
Cheryl- "it's all I want, I want to be with her twenty four seven"
Betty- "I know, why don't we go get dressed and head over there?"
Cheryl immediately nodded and jumped up off the step causing Betty to giggle a little bit
Betty- "okay then, lets go"
Cheryl smiled before grabbing Betty's hand and running inside
After they got ready Cheryl dragged Betty out the door and the girls ran to the south side
Toni- "hey guys!"
Cheryl- "T-T!"
She jumped in the girls arms as Betty smiled at them
Toni- (laughs) "what's this about?"
Cheryl- (blushes) "I just really missed you"
Toni- "oh, so hormones then?"
She looked at Betty who just shrugged and smiled
Cheryl- (sighs) "I actually forgot about that for a second"
Toni moved a piece of hair from her face and cupped her cheek
Toni- "it's okay, here I actually have an idea"
She grabbed her hand and pulled her inside as Betty followed. They sat down on the couch as Toni grabbed her laptop
They started looked at baby clothes online which made Cheryl start to tear up
Cheryl- (sniffs) "I-I'm actually going to be able to buy things like this"
Betty- (smiles) "who says you have to wait? Why don't we go shopping today? You do need clothes"
Toni- "I'm down, I could use a new flannel"
Cheryl- "T-T, you own like thirty"
Toni- "so? I can have thirty one if I want"
They laughed before Toni went to her bedroom leaving Betty and Cheryl
Betty- "you're okay with this, right?"
Cheryl- (sighs) "yeah, I am. I should look forward to it and I'm excited to have a little light come out of the darkest moment of my life"
