UNLESS [Onceler X Reader]

You looked around at the town and just then realised its beauty

The lights not too bright, but still managing to make a beautiful glow, reflecting itself on the trees and buildings

The design of the town was elegant and beautiful

The thing that stood out the most was the gazebo, it looked so tall and beautifully crafted

Onceler: So, question, where do I find a bed?

Y/N: Huh? Oh, I don't know

He blinks a few times before speaking again

Onceler: Wait, so you know where the town is, but don't know where to get a bed

You side-eye him

Y/N: Listen, I'm not a tour guide

Onceler: Never said you were

You looked at him with an annoyed glare

The people walking in the town noticed you. They turned their heads to look at you and then started whispering among themselves

Onceler seemed to notice it. He looked at you and came to the realization that it may have been your clothes that have been attracting the unwanted attention

To be specific, your clothes didn't really "blend in"

Onceler: Okay, how about, before we get my bed, we get you some new clothes?

Y/N: New clothes? What's wrong with what I'm wearing now?

Onceler: Oh, nothing! The clothes suit you! You look... Great! Good-looking even...

He stopped speaking immediately, his eyes widening and his cheeks turning pink

Onceler: Uh! I mean! Not in that way! Not that you aren't or anything! I just-uh... Sorry

He turns away and you look at him in confusion. He sighs then turns back to you

Onceler: I just meant... Something so that you don't stand out so much

You were confused, but he's been on this earth longer than you have, so you just decided to trust his words

Y/N: Okay then. Let's see where the clothing store is then

Onceler nods as you and him walk deeper into town, examining the stores, until you found one that sells clothing

You both walk inside, and your eyes immediately light up at all the colours and sizes of the clothing

You examined the different materials in your hands, your eyes lighting up in excitement

Y/N: I can really choose anything?

You look to him, he smiles and pats your head

Onceler: Yeah, go crazy. But not too crazy, we have a limited budget

You smile then nod as you begin exploring all of it. You picked up a few clothes, put some back. Tried a few things on, and so forth

Onceler watched as you excitedly ran about the store, looking at clothing like a kid in a candy store

Your excitement made him grin. And he admired your curiosity as he leaned against the wall waiting for you

He seemed almost captivated by you. Your happiness was almost contagious as a warm smile forms on his face

He realizes what was happening and he stops staring at you, and tries to force the smile down

After a few minutes, you walk back to him wearing (whatever you're aesthetic is, I do not care :>)
