It was now lifeless...

Dead...

Still...

You felt something inside of you, something you couldn't describe, it felt...

Aching

Like your heart was shattering

You crawled towards the tree, looking at it with sad eyes

You sigh as you put one of your hands on the stump, caressing it with your thumb

You look to one side, and see a small stone

You stood up slowly, a little shaky because it was the first time you used your legs

You shakily walk to the stone

You pick it up and take it back with you, getting used to walking little by little

You put the stone next to the tree

It had lost its life, and that stone was your way of respecting it for now

You stood there, saddened and still, that it had to lose it's life this way

You look to your side, and in suprise, you see a bear cub, holding a stone as well. It stopped in front of you and raised the stone, beckoning you to take it

Something about this animal, told you it was friendly

That it was your family

You accept the stone from this bear cub gratefully. You gave it a small smile

You raise your head, and you see the other animals holding stones. The animals consisting of bears, birds and fish

They each gave their stone in honor to the tree. Making a stone circle around it

You got on your knees in front of the tree, still feeling that same heart break. Wishing you could've done something sooner, although impossible

You then felt a soft paw holding your hand, you look to the side to see the same small bear cub, holding your hand, looking up at you with a comforting smile

You smile back

You then feel another paw, you look to your side to see a bigger bear, he was crying while holding your hand tight

You held his hand with the same tightness

Suddenly, you hear whistling

Coming from a distance away

You look to your side to see a figure, that stood out from the rest of the forest

There was a tent house, and next to this tent house was this tall man, with black hair, full clothing, and a hat

This particular man was taking the silk off one of the truffula trees, with no respect for it whatsoever

You narrowed your eyes at him. If there was a reason for this trees death, you knew it was most likely him

While he was busy, and you getting used to your legs, you snuck through the bushes and trees, until you finally hid behind the tree that he had killed

You sneak a glance from behind it to get a good look at his face

He had blue eyes, and no facial hair, he looked quite young, and on his face was...

A smile...

He was smiling

His face showed no remorse for what he had done

It angered you

While he was stuffing the silk into a bag, you stood up behind him
