Ok, so we all know about the villain to hero arcs, but we don't hear much of the opposite (at least I don't). Sometimes, it gets boring to me that the heroes always win even in the darkest situations because it's anticlimactic and so confusing. The villain can plan a flawless plan that takes months, and they figure out how to beat them in like 5 minutes. I want a story where the heroes are the evil ones. (No superpowers in this au. The heroes are only people who help police officers and are flashy about it. This helps give hope to civilians.)

Anyway, there's a hero that joins the villains to gather information for a group of heroes. While talking and hanging out with the villains, they learn that they're not who he thought they were. The drug addict uses drugs as a coping mechanism because of his abusive family, the one who steals only steals from the rich to give to the poor because he knows what it's like to be poor, the one who robs banks only takes what she needs to support her wife and baby, the one who's always fighting only fights other criminals and leaves them out in the open for police to take, etc.

The hero knows that the other heroes won't accept the fact that these people are actually nice because they constantly break laws. So he fights the heroes alongside the "villains" and finds different ways to help the "villains" like getting them jobs on the police force so they have a stable income and can still help others.

I also sometimes hate the word villain. It's such a stain. I learned about the term "anti-hero" so I wanted to make a few of then since it's a concept I always loved and now I know that it doesnt exist soley in my head. Of course, this doesn't justify a lot of the things villians in shows do, but i feel like if they weren't judged blindly, they would maybe have a chance at redemption. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading <3
