Rosalie Salvatore and Elena Gilbert had been missing for nearly ten hours.
Assumption was the reason why no one had noticed their disappearance earlier. Damon and Stefan had assumed Rosalie at stayed at Elena's house for the night, ignoring the strange fact that she hadn't warned them, and Jeremy and Jenna had assumed Elena had spent the night with Stefan at the Boarding house.
Either way, they had been wrong, and now two of the most important people to them were gone without a trace.
To say that the brothers were losing their minds was an understatement. Stefan had to hold Damon back from tearing the town apart until he found his sister, stating that a rampage wouldn't be of any help to get the girls back, and Stefan frantically tried to figure out a way to get them back. The brothers now stood outside of Mystic Falls High School, trying to find a solution.
"This has Katherine written all over it," Stefan stated.
"Katherine's in the tomb. Trust me; I'm the one who shut her in." Damon replied.
"Did you?" Stefan asked sharply.
Damon stared at his brother in disbelief. "Did I what, Stefan?"
"Well, I know the hold that Katherine has on you," Stefan stated and started to pace. They were both already antsy due to Elena and Rosalie's disappearance and fighting didn't help.
"Seriously? You want to start this now? Our sister is missing for fuck's sake! Katherine is in the tomb, period. End of story." He shot.
"Okay, okay. I believe you." Stefan was conceited, his back facing his brother.
"She did say something to me right before I shut her in. I thought she was lying." Damon added, and Stefan turned around sharply.
"What did she say?"
"Elena's in danger," Damon revealed, which made Stefan scoff.
"What? And you didn't think you should ask her to elaborate?" The youngest Salvatore exclaimed.
"Everything she says is a lie. How am I supposed to know if she's gonna start spouting out the truth?" Damon defended himself.
Stefan sighed, "Did she say anything about Rosalie?"
"No, but that witch last night mentioned something about her being an Oroubros or whatever." Damon reminded him.
"Ouroboros." Stefan corrected.
Damon dismissively waved his hand. "Yeah, that. Maybe it has something to do with it."
"We have to go talk to Katherine." Stefan declared with conviction, but his older brother was quick to disagree.
