Wanda stood up enraged and without lifting an arm, her powers threw Matt against the side of the plane, with a loud bang. Natasha quickly headed over to Wanda, "It's ok Wanda, calm down... calm down... I got you...calm down."
She grabbed the teenager and wrapped her up in her arms. Wanda's glow disappeared and Matt slumped to the floor.
Yelena burst in, "what is going on in here? Are you trying to make us crash??"
"Get back in the front Yelena. I don't even want to look at you right now," said Natasha firmly but without malice.
"Well keep the witch under control," snarked back Yelena, before turning and leaving.
Wanda lifted her head from Natasha's shoulder and glared at Matt, who by the this point had staggered to his feet. "Don't talk to my Mama like that."
"I didn't say anything that wasn't true," said Matt slowly.
"I'm not her fake daughter. I'm her real daughter. She is all I need," spat back Wanda.
Matt choked slightly, "how did you find out?"
"Find out what?"
Matt stayed quiet for a second as he listened. "Look it's been a rough night. We will arrive at the safe house in Belarus soon. Things got personal and heated."
Natasha nodded, "yeah It's ok Wanda. Matt and I have a lot of history. Things have just got out of hand."
Natasha carefully sat Wanda down, she leaned over to the fridge , and took out two bottles of water. She grabbed one and took a swig of it, handing the other one to the teenager.
"I'm not thirsty," Wanda shook her head.
"Please Wanda? It's been a long night, I don't need to add dehydration to the list of issues."
"I really am ok Mama. You worry too much."
Wanda sighed but casually took a sip. She leaned back into the chair, her head lolling slightly, and her chin fell forwards to her chest. Neither of the two adults seemed surprised by this reaction. Natasha gently moved her to a laying position and placed a pillow under her head to stop her neck getting sore. She grabbed a blanket out from underneath the chair and tucked it around the teenager tenderly.
"Sneaky Romanoff," said Matthew.
"You heard me drug it, and you didn't say anything," replied Natasha knowingly. "Now talk... You know something?"
"What? About the Hand?" Said Matt.
"Don't play dumb with me. About Wanda. What do you know?" Asked Natasha.
Matt sighed. "You know something I don't," continued Natasha, glaring at the man in front of her.
Matt stayed silent, but noticed the unwavering expression on Natasha's face as he carefully thought through his options.
"She's yours Nat," replied Matt finally.
"What do you mean she's mine? I know she's mine. I have the paperwork. I formally adopted her over a year ago," said Natasha in confusion, trying to make sense of the words she had just heard uttered.
