Into the UNKNOWN

Chapter One.

It was another normal day. Engfa was investigating on a murder case when suddenly her coworker, Nudee barges in.
"Did you hear that there is a new girl in the cafe infront of this building, I heard that she is very beautiful", Nudee says to her best friend who was confusingly looking at her.
"So, what am I suppose to do ?, welcome her with a flower garland ?" Engfa asked annoyed.

Nudee scoffed," What is your problem,fa?" She asked.
"That you barged into my office without knocking" engfa said looking back at the evidences she found.
"It's not like you do anything in here that should be kept away from me" Nudee says to her friend.
"But still the evidences can get damaged if not taken proper care of" engfa said not taking her eyes from some papers.

"Alright, alright I'm sorry " Nudee says defeated and walks out of engfa's office.
Engfa didn't care to look up at her best friend going away as she was too busy at the moment.

Few hours passed by and still engfa couldn't get any deeper into the case and decided to take a lunch brake.
She stepped outside the office and was greeted by her juniors in the office.
Engfa worked at the very huge crime investigating company and she was one of the seniors of the office.
Even at a very young age due to her intelligence and strength, she had become one of the best crime agent in the country.

Engfa was soon met by her best friend who smiled, forgetting about how she got scolded moments ago.
"Let's take a lunch brake" Nudee said and took engfa's hand and took her out of their building.
"Let's see the new girl everyone is talking about " Nudee says excitedly.
"Is she the miss universe?" Engfa asked.
"What, off course not" Nudee said.
"Then why are you excited to see her" engfa said rolling her eyes.
"I just heard that she looks just like as if she came down from heaven, maybe you can try your luck" Nudee said teasingly.
"I won't dare to date a goddess herself " engfa said laughing and went inside the cafe.
It was not crowded but not empty either.
They went to the counter to make their order.
As Nudee was busy trying to decide which pastry she should try, engfa was already about to order.
"Hi, how can I help you today?" A sweet voice greeted her.
Engfa did have to agree that the new girl looked just like an angel. Her voice was also as gentle as she looked.
Her beautiful Hazel eyes that were so deep that engfa was drown into them.
Her lips seems so soft and kissable.
Engfa was just so lost into her that she freaked out when Nudee patted her shoulder.
"What happened,  she has been calling you since forever, are you alright?" Nudee said.
"I-I-I'm fine" engfa stuttered.
"Is everything alright?" The gentle voice asked, making butterflies fly in engfa's stomach.
"Yeah, I am fine. How can I help you?" Engfa asked nervously.
She smiled and laughed a little and then said, "I should be the one asking you this".
Nudee couldn't help but sense that her friend wasn't her anymore .
"I would like chocolate pastry with strawberry milkshake and she will have  burger and fries" Nudee said saving her friend from embarrassment.

"It'll be ready in a minute" the girl said and Nudee took engfa to sit down at a table in the corner.
"What happened to you?" Nudee asked.
"I don't know, I have never felt this nervous in my entire life" engfa said to her best friend who was smirking at her.
"What?" Engfa asked annoyed.
"Looks like you my friend, have a crush on this new girl" Nudee teased engfa.
"Off course not " engfa scoffed but couldn't help but smile.
"Engfa has a crush, wow. I need to tell everyone" Nudee said and took out her phone.
"Nope, tell a single soul and you'll be dead" engfa said glaring at her.
Nudee gulped and kept quite.
Soon their order came and they ate it happily.
The new girl felt that she was being watched by someone and turned around to check. When she did, she saw that engfa was looking at her and soon looked at the other direction.
She  thought it was just an accident and went ahead with her work.
Then again she thought someone was watching her and when she turned around her eyes met engfa's and this time she turned away shyly.
Engfa turned red with that coincidence and thanked the god that Nudee wasn't paying attention as she was busy typing in her phone.

Soon they finished and went to the counter to pay their bill.
"That'll be $55 " she said and engfa payed her through card.
"What's your name by the way, we've never seen you around" Nudee asked breaking the awkward silence.
"My name is Charlotte and I just came her few days ago" she said.
"Thanks" engfa said. Either it was for Charlotte or Nudee for asking Charlotte's name only Engfa knew who the thank-you was for.
"Have a wonderful day " Charlotte greeted them and went ahead with her day.

"Charlotte...Charlotte.....Charlotte " Nudee kept saying her name till they were inside their building and engfa didn't stop her but blushed.
Even when she entered her room she was thinking about Charlotte.
"Oye Engfa, what are you doing ?. You can't waste your time like that" she told herself  and went back to looking at the papers.
