Neteyam was the one who snapped you out of your spinning mind. "Here," He placed his hands over yours again, the way he used to when giving you knife lessons. "I can take this." Giving him the thread you pulled your attention up to him. He started off looking at you but then his gaze shifted behind you. You were curious and looked back to see Elder Ku'uu outside the doorway. For a moment you just looked at him standing there, then you gathered yourself up and finally spoke. "Elder Ku'uu, what brings you here?" You moved yourself to him. "Come." He left off as you had gotten close, you didn't know if you should follow but you knew you had too. You glanced back at Neteyam and he nodded to you, letting you go. You left off quickly following him, wondering what was wrong. He'd never come to get you at your home before and he looked pale.

"Wait, Ku'uu, where are we going?" You had passed his home, your normal place to chat. Not to mention he was fast, faster than you could keep up with at an almost running walk. You exited the village, you had no idea where he was going, but now that you were out you couldn't let him go. Now you were jogging over to him, though you needn't jog far as he stopped along the beach. "Elder Ku'uu?" He was out of breath and with one look at his face you knew something was wrong. You gently placed your hand on his shoulder and waited for him to speak. "(Y/N), they are here." Your brows furrowed, who was back for him? "The demon ship, the one that-" He hiccuped mid sentence as he was shedding silent tears, the sound drowning in the rain. "That killed them." Your jaw tightened, you didn't know what to say as your fear was clenching your organs. You just looked out to the sea, trying to find peace in it and yet today you just couldn't.

"They've killed another Tulkun and not just any Tulkun, they killed Roa." You didn't recognize the name but the next one you did. "She is Tsahik Ronal's spirit sister." No, it was the only word repeating in your head, no, no, no this wasn't happening. "And her calf." Maybe this had nothing to do with Quaritch, maybe he wasn't as close as you thought. But the nos in your mind kept flooding, you knew it was him. Who else would it be? "(Y/N), listen to me." He turned to you, grabbing both of your shoulders. "My people will want to fight." Deep down you wanted to fight too, the only time you'd seen Ronal smile was with her spirit sister. Somehow you felt robbed about the loss as well. "But I've seen what their weapons can do to our bodies." He took a deep breath in while blinking away tears. "We cannot win." The wind swept against your spine again, you didn't like it, you liked nothing about today. "(Y/N)," You'd been starting to drift away. "If you decide to fight." You had to, you were one of the few Na'vi who knew their tactics and their weaponry. "And you get hurt, come to me." Though the offer was sweet you shook your head.

"I will be fine Elder Ku'uu and besides you said yourself you don't know how to treat such wounds." He chuckled and dipped his head before explaining himself. "Yes, I didn't know how before." The rain was not going to let up. "But I've studied the wounds and how they inflict damage and now I can help." The realization didn't dawn on you for a while as you thought about how he would have studied bullet wounds. When it did you looked Ku'uu in the eyes that were confused. "Wait, you-" He nodded. "Yes, I had to study my own daughter's body." You heard a horn, they have returned, no, wait this was all happening too fast. "Promise me," You turned your head back around. "Promise me if you get hit you'll come find me." You were breathing hard, you needed to see Mr. Sully, you needed him to tell you everything was okay that you were safe. "Where will you be?"

Elder Ku'uu lifted his hand off your shoulder and pointed at the edge of the beach, the furthest into the ocean. "I'll be waiting right there." You needed Neytiri to relax around you and thread her hand through your hair, you needed to feel at rest. "Okay." You needed this all to stop and that stupid wind, you wished it would just leave you alone. "I- I'm sorry I have to go Elder Ku'uu." You moved fast and started off running. "Wait!" You only turned to yell a few words. "I promise I'll come to you Ku'uu!" You were already back in the village, the seemingly empty village. You ran to the noise, the only trace of Na'vi anywhere under the hard rain.

"This war has come to us." You weaved your way into the crowd, spotting Lo'ak not too far from you. "We knew about this hunting of our Tulkun people." You followed him close and let him silently guide you as he had taken notice of you as well. "But it was over the horizon, far away. Now, it is here!" You watched as the people were outraged and ready to fight. Even Ao'nung and Rotxo were in agreement with the others. "No, you don't," Mr. Sully was panicking, you could see it. "You gotta understand how the Sky people think." As you saw Mr. Sully you saw the rest of the Sullys, you moved over to them. "They don't care about the great balance." You were close when a man shouted out from behind the Sullys. "We do not answer to sky people!" This sent everyone ablaze again. You knew you wanted to fight but there was also a huge risk in it. One you weren't sure you were ready for. "Listen, Listen to him." Neteyam was trying to get them to stop but to no avail. You saw he had something in his hand and you started to breathe hard. Why did it look so familiar? Everything went quiet, you heard nothing.

You watched in your mind as every piece was coming together, all the missing pieces. You remembered what was so wrong, that great injustice you felt. What Amrita came from, how they got it, how it stops human aging. You recalled when you found out about it, how you felt so disgusted with your father knowing he was the one making millions off of the discovery by selling it. How he didn't care about life, how he did care about his daughters, he only cared about himself and the money. How could he do this? Now that you were here it was worse, you knew these creatures, and you'd made friends with them. You'd been accepted by their community, you were one of them. How could you have forgotten? Why couldn't you just say something sooner?

Mr. Sully took the tracker from Neteyam's hand, pulling your eyes with it, they were stuck there and couldn't move out of fear. You could still hear nothing as the people had settled down from Mr. Sully's action. "You tell the Tulkun." A voice." "That if they're hit by one of these they're marked for death." You wanted this all to stop, the breeze, the worry, and the feeling of guilt. "And call for me, I'll silence it." But you knew it wasn't going to, deep inside you wanted to go to war, you'd at least be able to fight back. "Saving their lives, that's all that matters." But Mr. Sully was right because if you did go to war you might end up losing someone. "Right?" You looked next to you at Neteyam. "Saving your family." Another silence washed over and you wondered if you'd lose it again. You could lose your mind a dozen times, forever even and you wouldn't care. As long as he was safe, as long as your family was safe.

You knew Mr. Sully was right, all that mattered was keeping them safe. "Tell the Tulkun." Your gaze moved again to Tonowari up there with Mr. Sully. He was holding Ronal's hand as he gave the order. "Go." You felt bad for her as she told her people to leave. "Go!" You looked to Neteyam again, trying to see what to do next. He was already looking past you. "Watch Kiri and Tuk." He patted your shoulder before brushing past you. "Wait, Neteyam." You reached your hand out to him as he left. Amongst the chaos you watched him leave and saw just who he was following. He had Lo'ak while you had Kiri and Tuk. Once he was out of sight your head was on a swivel looking for them, you figured they'd be off warning the other Tulkun and so you went after them.
