The Basement with No Way Out
Not wanting to get lost in this maze-like house, I stayed in the living room. Without power I couldn't see what was in front of me. The house creaked and moaned with the wind and rain.
I had found a candle and lit it with a match, I can barely see still. Finally having some form of light, I make my way down to the basement where the generator is. To Be honest, I have never been down here. The basement looked completely different from upstairs; it was damp, the wood was rotting and the floor was just gravel. Making my way down the old rotting stairs, I find my way to the generator. The generator had been overgrown with ivy, moss and mushrooms. I tried my best to clean it off, not touching the ivy while cleaning. I never knew a place could look so neat, yet so abandoned at the same time. I had managed to fix the generator and turn the power back on. When it turned on the basement lit up, revealing symbols and pentagrams on the walls. I rushed back up the stairs only to find the door locked; the door didn't have a keyhole to lock it. Not knowing what to do, I panicked. I was alone, in a cold basement, with no one in the house to help me. I tried looking for other ways to get out, but no hope. I sit there for an hour or so, trying to find a way out. Under the stairs is a human sized gap in the wall, just enough for me to fit through. I got down on my knees and crawled through the gap and into a dimly lit hallway. ¨I don't remember this in the blueprints.¨ . I say talking to myself. Walking down the hallway, there are the same symbols on the wall as in the attic. The smell of the hall was enough to make me sick. I made it to the end of the hallway. There is an old looking door, which had to be 1780´s. The old door appeared to be unlocked, I opened the door and immediately blacked out. When I woke up I was on the forest floor. My head ached and all I could hear was a static like noise. I managed to get up off my feet and wander around trying to find a way out.
