"Is that good or bad?"

"Good. For now. I will come out as the Princess... one day. I just want a chance to distance myself from that for now. Give myself a chance at the happiness that was denied me all those years ago."

"And we will." He took her hand, "We're both on Earth, living in these new modern times. So, as modern people, how about a date?"

"A date?" She smirked, "I can live with that."

"Good." He leaned forward, "Let's seal it with a kiss." She met him halfway and kissed for the first time in this new life. The broke away abruptly when his door opened, "Of course." Sessh sighed as he looked at his father, "Inuyasha?"

"He caught me in my office. Thought I'd give you some time to talk, but I couldn't wait anymore." Toga looked down with a soft smile at the blonde, "Serenity."

She giggled, "Inu Papa." He laughed, loudly, as she got up and hugged him, "Would you rather I stick with Taisho?"

"Whatever you like. I'm just glad you're here." He sighed as he pulled her back to look her over, "You cut your hair." He squinted, "Did you dye it, too?"

"I wondered that myself." Sessh said, getting up to join them, "Don't get me wrong, it looks good on you, but it's different."

She laughed, "Well, during my last life, as Neo Queen Serenity, I'll tell you more about it later, my hair was white."

"Like your mom's."

"It's a Lunarian thing. It's what happens when the Princess ascends to the throne. Dad was Venusian and when he became King, his hair lightened and had white streaks all through it. So, when I was Reborn into this life, since I retained all of my past and future memories, my looks altered slightly to fit into who I am now. My hair now looks like my dad's, with white streaks so minimal, it looks deliberate."

"Like you went to a salon."

"Yep. And I cut my hair on purpose. I didn't want it too short, but I figured it would help me keep a lower profile. I was known for the length of my hair, so I lopped it off at the waist... and no more buns." She smirked as he played with the two half braids, "So sue me. Some habits are hard to break."

"I like it. Keeps me from taking it down."

She turned to Toga, "Is Yukimi is here?"

"She lives on the compound. But," Toga sighed, "due to the way things were after the Silver Alliance and how things have turned out now, we are no longer married."

"What?"

"You know Inuyasha in only my half brother, right?" Sessh asked, getting her attention. She nodded, "That situation caused my parents to separate, but still remain married. Youkai thing."

"Right."

"Before the wishes, Yasha's mother died... as did father."

"I know that too. But you're both alive now, so..." she turned back to the elder, "the wish didn't just make you alive, it put you together."

"Yes. And we're okay with it. Yukimi as well." Toga shrugged, "Most of the time. She can be... bitter, at times, but we remain civil."

"As the Lady Mother, she rules over the single female demons in order to keep them in line and not cause any problems. The ones not mated or belonging to any specific demon tribe. Izayoi, Inuyasha's mother, stays out of demon business. She's mated to father, and will have a longer life, but she's still human and has no interest in interfering in Youkai business. She run's the main house, here, where only a few full demons live full time. The rest are Hanyou or Taijiya. The guards patrol the grounds, but they don't live here."
