Uma spent the next day planning her escape to the Quarter. She needed food, clothes, and maybe a little bit of aconite to save her child from a life of suffering. She waited till both Klaus and Rebekah had gone to do who knows what before leaving the house.

She searched the Quarter high and low for a witch shop, a real one, so she could buy some Wolfsbane. Uma came across a shop with the name 'Jardin Gris voodoo shop' on the front glass hours into her search. Something in her core told her it was real. There was a witch locking up the store as Una approached.

"Hey, hey, wait," Uma called, running up to the witch.

"We're closed, sorry," the witch, Katie, smiled.

"I just need one teeny, tiny, little herb," Uma begged. "Please?"

Katie sighed, sympathetically, before caving.

"Which herb?"

"Crushed aconite flower" Uma replied, anxiety flooding her.

She knew Klaus would probably kill her, but she didn't care. Anything was better than this pregnancy in her eyes. No child deserved to inherit the Mikaelson gene.

"Wolfsbane?" Katie questioned. "That's a poison. Looking to kill a wolf?"

"Just a little one," Uma frowned, bringing fake tears to her eyes and rubbing her stomach.

"Give me a minute," Katie rushed out, hurrying inside.

Uma wiped at her eyes, pushing the tears away. She felt bad for manipulating the witch, but she knew she had to. She looked around, making sure no one was watching before the witch came back out.

"Cut it with Jimson weed, a few drops in some hot tea," Katie whispered. "That should do it."

Uma nodded, offering the witch some money. Katie put her hand over Uma's, leaving the money in Uma's hand.

"It's an ugly town for wolves. You're doing the right thing," Katie offered.

Uma turned and hurried away, not saying a word. She shoved the poison into her bag, not noticing the witch pulling out her phone and making a very important phone call.

Half an hour later, Uma sat on a park bench. She had mixed the wolfsbane into her tea but was second-guessing herself. Uma stared at her tea, her heart pounding. She was beginning to think that the baby was a chance at redemption. Not only for Klaus but for herself. On the other hand, she thought, a baby shouldn't be used for healing and personal growth.

'C'mon Uma,' she thought. 'One upset stomach and all of this is over.'

She continued to stare at the tea, before raising it to her lips. She hesitated, her doubt so loud it formed into a headache. Uma was about to take a sip when she heard a sound behind her. She lowered the tea, looking behind her to see who it was. When she couldn't see anything Uma got up from the bench, ready to run back to the plantation. She turned her head, seeing a vampire in front of her, making her glare.

"Dumb move coming into the Quarter," the vampire insulted. "You're coming with me, wolf."

Uma growled, clenching the cup in her hands.

"I've had enough of vampires telling me what to do!" she shouted, throwing the tea in the vampire's face.

The vampire cried in pain and Uma turned to run away. She stopped instantly, as there were 2 vampires in front of her. She pushed the hair that had fallen in her face away before punching one vamp in the face. She made a mental note to braid her hair. The vampire barely recovered before Rebekah sped to them, snapping one's neck and ripping the other's heart out.
