When Jinyoung arrived, the class was almost full. He scanned the room and saw two empty seats in the second row, either one beside the girl who was busy reading, he marched his way towards the empty seat on the left. He tapped on her shoulders lightly; she didn't even feel it until the fourth tap, "Excuse me,"

She looked at him with sharp eyes, if there's anything she hated the most, it's when people distract her. "Wha-" she stopped mid-word when she saw him, "Oh, it's you. Sorry. What is it?" she said in a more mellow manner.

"Is this seat taken?"

Jisoo heaved a sigh, "Nope…" she said coldly.

Jinyoung sat down beside her, "Thank you…"

"...Jisoo."

Hearing him say her name left a faint smile on her face for some reason; she nodded at him.

The door swung open, revealing a girl who was smiling from ear to ear, "Good morning!" she exclaimed as she walked to the empty chair beside her friend.

"Mornin' Elsa!" she said as she chuckled.

"Don't call me that," she said in an almost whisper.

Seulgi just made a face at her. She noticed the guy on the other side, "Oh, hi! Are you a new student? I haven't seen you in this class before. I'm Seulgi, this is my best friend, Jisoo." she offered her hand for a handshake.

He chuckled in amusement as the girl talked so quickly, he reciprocated the handshake, "I'm Jin—", he was cut off from what he was about to say when the professor emerged.

"Good morning, class!" the professor greeted as he scanned the room with his eyes, "Oh, Jinyoung, why are you in this class?"

He caressed his nape with his free hand, "The one for my section got full," he simply replied. Professor Ji Sung nodded at him, "Very well then," he said as he continued to look at the students.

"Ah, Jisoo! You're in this class too." She just smiled at her favorite professor and gave him a nod.

The class went on as usual, neither of them talking to the other. "Okay, for our next meeting, you have to make a group presentation about the next topics." Jisoo raised her hand, Ji Sung looked at him with disapproving eyes, "No, Miss Kim. You cannot work by yourself."

Ugh, I hate group presentations, Jisoo thought. She would rather work by herself than be grouped with careless members.

"It should be in groups of four. I'll let you choose your own group. Class rep, make sure to send me the groupings. See you next week."

"Ugh! He didn't even let me talk. 31 isn't divisible by 4!" Seulgi laughed at her friend who was moping because of that minor detail, "Then we'll be the odd group! Hey, Jinyoung, do you want to join us?"

"Yeah, sure, if that's okay with you, Jisoo" he said with a smile.

Jisoo gave a faint smile, "Okay."

"Yes! Let me tell Jackson!" Seulgi exclaimed as she ran towards their class representative.

"Jisoo, may I have your number?"

"Huh?!"

"Uh, so I can contact you about our report? I need to go to my other classes," he explained.

Of course, why else would he ask for your number, dimwit, she thought as she wrote her number on a piece of paper.

"Thank you, see you around." Jinyoung greeted with a beam.

"See you!" she said with a small smile forming on her lips.

"Who is it?" Seulgi asked.

"I don't know, unknown number," she shrugged.

Oh?
