CHAPTER 10

It's been really rough.

It's been a month and still, Beomgyu is ignoring Taehyun. Beomgyu became very distant with everyone, not only Taehyun. It is like something has suddenly stopped him from allowing himself to have fun in this school.

Some people gave Beomgyu his space but Taehyun never did. Each day, he would try to reach out to Beomgyu despite knowing he'll ignore him all over again.

"There's no impossibilities if I just try, he'll talk to me soon.." Taehyun said to Kai as they are both eating their lunch together in the school's cafeteria.

"I don't know, hyung. It's been a month and he's still ignoring everyone, especially you. I don't know what has gotten into Beomgyu hyung but this is definitely something." Kai said, mumbling every word while chewing his food. "I once heard them talk to each other about not wasting time, I don't know, it just connects the dot." He added.

"Huh? When did you hear that?" Taehyun's eyes lit up in interest.

"Just before he ignored you. They were talking about this and that and their topic was all about not wasting any more time, I think Yeonjun hyung also mentioned his mother? I'm unsure though, what's it to him?" Kai said, questioning everything, hopping it would click on Taehyun's mind.

"Maybe something important like a deal."

Kai didn't expect Taehyun's respond and almost choked in his food. "Pft. You're getting too delusional with the time you watch K-dramas, Taehyun. It's probably something about his education and he took a break from any distractions and stopped talking to anyone."

Taehyun sighed. "Kai, it's still very unsual. Despite that, he didn't talk to anyone for months! Only to Yeonjun, it's very... weird. I promise you, something is going on here."

"Something indeed is, but if he need that time for himself, let's just let him be, Taehyun. He'll talk to you soon."

"I really wish he does.." Taehyun said with a sigh when he suddenly spots Beomgyu from afar. Even if it's really far from him, he spots Beomgyu like there's no one else in that room but only the two of them.

Kai furrowed as he looked at where Taehyun's eyes are directing to and found Beomgyu. He sassily rolled his eyes and faced Taehyun back. "Taehyun, I just told you-"

"I need to talk to him."

"Taehyun, give him some space!" Kai shouted, trying to stop him.

Taehyun stared at Kai for a moment before finally walking towards Beomgyu, ignoring every time Kai calls his name.

"Beomgyu hyung." He says, approaching him with confidence.

Beomgyu didn't look nor said anything. He only grabbed his lunch and continued to do so as if Taehyun isn't there.

Taehyun put on a smile and started talking. "It's nice to see you again, any plans to talk to me again?" Taehyun asked in a very guilt-tripping way.

Beomgyu sighed then pulled out his earphones as he played a music and continued to ignore Taehyun. He sighed as well then grabbed Beomgyu's other earphones as he listened to the music.

"I love this too! You?" Taehyun said, smiling softly knowing damn well Beomgyu isn't responding any time soon.

Beomgyu stared at Taehyun and grabbed his earphones as he walked out of there.

Taehyun traced Beomgyu in his eyesight. "Hyung, please." He said, following him.

"Please, please, hyung. What did I do? What happened? You can tell me, EVERYTHING! Please. Tell me and I will give you your space." Taehyun said, although he regrets saying that, he really want to know the reason for all of this.

Beomgyu looked at Taehyun as he is deciding.

He then looked away and sighed.

"Hyung?"

Beomgyu then walked out of there, leaving Taehyun confused and worried.

Taehyun didn't follow him, he want to but he can't.

This is it.

He walked out as he walked pass Kai.

"Taehyun-" Kai said as Taehyun ignored him, walking away like he's late for class.

"What's he up to?" Kai asked to himself.

Beomgyu finished eating and saw that he's not that busy today. He checked his phone and noticed Taehyun's messages.

"He's still spamming me, even after all this time I have been ignoring him.." Beomgyu said to himself in guilt. He clenched his phone as tears fell in his eyes, his head is down as he sobbed in tears.

The guilt and the urge to tell Taehyun everything is there, but he can't help it.

He has to do this.

Beomgyu stood up and grabbed his bag as he placed his phone in his pocket, he grabbed his small notebook and read something as he then placed it in his pocket and left.

He allowed himself to go somewhere.

His old school.

This is actually where he finished elementary before transferring to another place to finish high school.

He miss the place. So much had changed but the nostalgia is still there. It always has been ever since he came to this place.

This is where he basically grew up.

Beomgyu saw all of the children waiting for their parents to go home, children playing and having fun without thinking of anything. No other problem in life.

A child walked up to Beomgyu and smiled at him.

"Hi!" The child greeted.

"Oh hello, dear." Beomgyu said as he bent down matched the child's height.

"Do you have a sibling here?"

"Nope, I just came to visit. This is my old school, I miss it."

"Ooohh!!! Woww!!"

Beomgyu chuckled at the child's reaction.

"Someday, when I grow up, I will also visit this place!!" The child continued, and Beomgyu nodded.

"Yes, you'll love it."

The child chuckled before running off after seeing her friends.

Beomgyu stood up and smiled at the children, he miss being a child, making plans for your future.

Now, that you're living your future, all you think about is the past and how you used to live peacefully, you can't even think of the future well.

So much financial issues there is to face.

Beomgyu reached the school's rooftop and his eyes sparkled with love. He used to sit here with one of his old friend and talk about life. This was his comfort place.

He sat down to a place where he and his friend used to sit at. He remembered that they hid a rock here before, where they wrote their names and hid it.

Beomgyu looked for it and was surprised as he found it.

His eyes widened in shock as he read what was written in the rock.

"Beomgyu & Taehyun's rock"
