"Heart's day ngayon a? Wala ka bang date?" My mom asked as I entered our dining area. I just shook my head and smiled cooly.

"I got loads of paperwork to do." I politely answered as I sat across from my twin sister.

I saw how Crishaine rolled her eyes and faced our dad.

"Type nga siya ni Nikki na ka-work ko kaso ang manhid ni Crain, dad. Walang kilig sa katawan. Akala mo naman nakaka-tulong sa buong mundo ang pagiging snob." Sumbong nito sa ama namin pero nagkibit-balikat lang ako at nagsimulang kumain ng agahan.

Nakita ko din ang pag-ngiti ni mom. "Crishaine anak, ganyan talaga ang ibang tao---"

"Wow mom, Miss Philippines na iyon." She rolled her eyes and then looked at me again. "Do you even know how to properly treat a woman, Crain Godiñez?" She asked intently.

Napailing ulit ako dahil ilang araw na akong pinagdidiskitahan ng kapatid ko. Hindi naman nakiki-alam ang mga magulang namin pero nagsimula siyang ganyan ng hindi ko pansinin ang kaibigan nito.

Why would you entertain someone you aren't interested in, right?

"Of course. I just don't like your friend. At mga babae ang kapatid ko, why would I play with anyone else's feelings?" I told her and smiled.

Imbes na maging proud ito ay sinimangutan niya lang ako dahil sa sinabi ko.

"Epal mo naman? Maganda na nga si Nikki, beauty queen nga, hindi ba? Anong ayaw mo doon?" She asked again that made dad laugh. "Ikaw ba ang ipinanganak na bulag sa ating dalawa?" I just shook my head again.

"Hayaan mo nga itong kapatid mo, anak. Para saan pa't makakahanap din siya---"

"He's hurting my friend, Dad." Crishaine rebutted.

"I am not." I defended. "And I was clear from the beginning. Ikaw itong pilit ng pilit na i-date ko ang kaibigan mo. I told you a couple of times that I don't want her. I don't even find her attractive." I honestly said and she just let out a sigh.

"Kapal mo, Crain." She frowned. "Feeling mo naman ikina-gwapo mo 'yan."

"I am your twin and we have the same face except with the nose, missy." I smiled cutely but she just glared.

"Dad oh! I-reto mo nga ito para ma-karma!"

"I don't play. Why would karma visit me." I shook my head as I winked at my twin.

Sa halip na sumagot ito ay hindi na siya sumagot at inismiran na lang ako.

Good.

It's already three in the morning and I decided to drive home. Maaga akong umalis sa resort para hindi ko maabutan ang mabigat na traffic at hindi ako magiging laman ng topic ng pamilya ko. Nagsimula kasing magsumbong si Crishaine kagabi at hindi nila ako tinigilan.

I just don't like it when I am the center of their attention.

It's not even about my love life they've talked to but also my whole life like damn, I'm just twenty-nine. Nathania has a fiancée already and Crishaine is dating someone else. I am right here, focusing on my work.

Hindi naman masaya iyon, hindi ba?

I mean, I also try to date but when I don't see any connection between me and the person, I immediately cut that off. Kaysa naman sa pahabain ko pa ang oras namin at masayang. Who would want that?

I don't even consider myself a man who has high standards.

I just want someone like my mom. Pretty and kind.
