there once was a boy
who thought that no one
could mirror the beauty
of the cosmos.
that is,
until he saw her.
after that,
he couldn't stop looking,
gawking, really,
at the girl who's eyes shone like nebulas
and who's lungs were filled with
effluvium from jupiter and saturn,
who's veins resembled roads,
a map through space and time.
but,
like a massive,
blistering sun,
she could only last so long
before erupting into a chaotic
mess of color and heat,
a spectacular show
for everyone to see.____________________________
