"mhm. but you're the only one who can call me char," she whispered back before taking gracie's hand and pulling her to the couch.
"is caleb and marcus coming tonight?" matthew asked.
sadie glanced to charlotte, "no um.."
"marc and caleb don't know about us yet," charlotte filled in awakrdly, pulling her lips into a thin line.
"damn, i'm losing track of how many people know and who doesn't," matthew grumbled.
"well you can add one more to the list. alex," charlotte muttered, rolling her eyes.
"yeah, speaking of alex," jude said, glancing at sadie. "wanna tell 'em what you got in mind, sadie."
gracie clenched her jaw. it did feel a little weird talking about her ex with her girlfriends friends who she barely even knew, but then again at least they were trying to help get rid of him. she liked how much charlottes friends and her brother looked out for each other, especially matthew for covering for them. whenever gracie and olivia get into some sort of trouble, the two of them are both just complete messes and have absolutely no idea what to do and just try and juggle whatever es thrown at them while practically screaming their heads off in sync; while charlotte and her friends seemed to collectively rely on each other for help, and actually handle things. it was honestly kind of funny to her, but of course she wouldn't trade olivia for anything, she kind of adores how unhinged the two of them are together, charlotte was just a little glimpse into a more calculated mind.
and that's what she thought until sadie opened her mouth.
"i gave him my address, he's going to come over and have a little chat with me and he's not leaving until he permanently erases those pictures and swears to keep his big ass mouth shut," the redhead said with jude and matthew nodding in agreement.
"that's—that's not a good idea," gracie mumbled, getting all eyes on her. "he's... difficult to deal with in person."
"i agree, i don't want him here either," charlotte firmly said, squeezing gracie's hand.
"trust, he won't delete those pictures either," olivia scoffed, "why don't you get blackmail on him too, y'know like some spy type shit."
"well... he's kinda already invited himself over tonight. to here," sadie said, glancing at gracie who's eyes went wide. "after i gave him my number he insisted on meeting up to hookup."
"no," gracie panicked, whipping her head to charlotte. "i-i can't see him again."
"look i don't think this is a bad idea," jude said. "he comes here, we talk some sense into him, scare him a bit, and then never see or talk to him again. besides, he got what he wanted, sadie's number. he never said she couldn't block him afterwards."
gracie brought her knees up to her chest, clearly wanting to be anywhere else but here, which is exactly what charlotte didn't want.
"yeah and, y'know me and jude know how to deal with him," matthew said, jude nodding along. "but it's whatever you guys think. charlie?"
charlotte sighed, staring at gracie who's eyes were filled with panic and her teeth bedding into her lip. she tried to think of any other solution for alex but her mind was blank, and she knew they had to deal with him as soon as possible. it's not like they had the time to risk him doing anything, especially since they've been so close to being leaked way too many times, and there was no way in hell she'd like it happen by alex fucking monaghan.
