chris takes my hand and we get out of the school "where are we going though" i ask him he just looks at me smiling and continues to walk with my hand the weather today is windy,not so much sun so i dont mind walking the route we're taking is somewhere ive never been its too much towards the inside
after 5 minutes of walking we reach a building(?) he takes my hand again and climbs us up the stairs when finally we reach a door he opens it it a huge terrace like a very huge one i walk towards it and roam around you can literally see the entire state from up here
"i come here alot" i hear him say "its huge" "i know,this building is old and abandoned nobody really comes up here" he comes closer and sits next to where i am i sit with him the wind still blowing through i look at chris with his eyes close feeling every wave of wind pass through him "you like being alone?" i say he looks at me "most of the times" he replies looking straight "i missed you" i whisper not expecting more than a mean comment but i swear i heard a faint "i missed you more" almost instantly i look at him,his eyes closed again huh maybe i just wanted him to say it i lay on my back and he joins me hes facing the sky i turn to him and stare "stop staring" i hear him say in between giggles he turns to me "why can't i" oh that was bold of me "actually i dont mind" he says smiling "then i'll keep staring" i say looking at him he keeps looking at me we stare at each other for too long its been hours or 10 minutes i look up at the sky "i think its gonna rain" i say "do you wanna get food" he asks "sure" i said getting up
we walk to mcdonald's because we cant drive and now i suddenly miss matt when we reach chris goes up to order
"6pc chicken nugget meal with a sprite and a cheeseburger meal with a pepsi" he orders i smile thinking about how he knows what i get here we used to get mcdonald's all the time when we were friends but i didnt expect him to actually remember my order im starting to think he still cares about me more than i thought he gets the food "lets go to the near by park and eat its not raining" he says and i follow him we get to the park and sit on the grass he passes me the chicken nuggets and sprite he starts eating his cheeseburger and i start eating my nuggets "you know im starting to think you actually care about me" i say while drinking my sprite he smiles while still biting into his burger i smile back at him "what" i ask "so all this time you thought i just stopped caring about you?" he asks smiling "yea well because you did stop caring" i say biting my nugget "and who told you that" he asks "i assumed" i reply "how" he asks "because i thought you hated me?" i say "breya be for real" he laughs "what" i ask "i was in love with you im not even kidding" he says laughing what what WHAT "WHAT" i ask "yea i told you i liked you right" he says "that much?" i ask "that much" he says biting into his last piece of burger acting like this was a normal conversation i am literally dying right now "but chris" "what" he looks at me "you're making me feel bad about it" i say "why? you dont have to feel guilty because i liked you and you did not" he says "but i am,you were my best friend and i would never let our friendship come to this if i knew about it" i say in all seriousness "i didnt want our friendship to come to this too" he says slowly looking down "and im sorry that this happened i just didnt know why i acted the way i did" he says looking at me "its okay" i say smiling "i would love to become friends again" i say bringing my hand out for a shake he looks down at my hand and smiles
he shakes it
"friends" he says smiling
we walk back to the school and talk on the bleachers until its time to go home again everyone starts leaving the school and we spot matt and nick "hey" matt hugs me "hey" "where the fuck were you guys" nick asks "we skipped" i say "why" matt asks "because we wanted to now can we go home please" chris asks "can you guys drop me too" i ask "of course" chris replies "woah where did the sun rise from" nick comments "what do you mean" chris asks as we are all walking to the car "nothing its just that you're being unusually nice to breya" he says getting in the back of the car and i join him "you have a problem?" chris asks wearing his seatbelt "none at all" nick replies
they drop me home pretty soon and i go to my room i lay on my bed and i scroll through tiktok there goes 2 hours on it i finally switch the app to instagram

i get to my room and i start scrolling though ig and then i felt the need to go through breyas entire feed so i do it and i accidentally liked a picture okay. calm. i am calm. theres no need to worry. we're friends again. and friends stalk each others feed. its okay. BREATHE. i wanna scream.
