(Y/N) paced back and forth outside the medical bay, her mind buzzing with anxiety. She couldn't bear the thought of Optimus being hurt, let alone losing him. He had been like a father to her ever since she joined the Autobots, always looking out for her and guiding her on their missions together.

The sound of the medical bay doors opening made your heart skip a beat, and you rushed inside to find Ratchet tending to Optimus. The sight of Optimus, battered and bruised, brought tears to your eyes.

"How is he?" you asked Ratchet, your voice barely above a whisper.

"He took quite a beating, but he's stable for now," Ratchet replied, his tone grave." He needs rest, and we need to monitor him closely."

you nodded, your gaze never leaving Optimus. you knew you couldn't leave his side, not for a second. So you sat next to the med bay berth and settled in, determined to stay there until Optimus was back on his feet.

As the hours ticked by, you found yourself lost in memories of the battles you and Optimus had fought together. His bravery and unwavering determination had always inspired you, and you couldn't imagine a world without him in it.

It was morning, and Optimus stirred. your heart leaped, and you leaned in closer to him.

" Optimus?" you whispered, reaching out to touch his face plate.

His optics flickered open, and he looked at you.

" (Y/N)... you stayed by my side," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

"I wouldn't leave you," you replied, a smile spreading across your face.

Optimus smiled weakly, and you knew that he would recover.

 As long as they were together, nothing could stop them.
