sitting at the counter, dot was replying to the instagram comments, eating the bowl of grapes in front of her.
hearing a door open down the hallway, her eyes flickered up to meet jacob's.
"oh, hey dot."
"hey jacob." she smiled.
he leaned over the counter, stealing a grape from the girls bowl before popping it into his mouth.
she made a face and stuck her tongue out at him.
he raised his hand to ruffle her hair as she laughed and shoved his hand away.
"is eva sleeping?" she asked, picking up another grape.
"yeah, she's taking a nap." he nodded.
"so, you guys are coming with us tomorrow?" dot wondered.
"yup. so..." he leaned in the counter with a sly smile.
"what?"
"who's this chris kid?" jacob smiled and dot's face turned a light shade of pink.
she hid her face behind her hands as jacob let out a loud laugh.
"he's my friend." she whispered.
"ok, sure." he joked.
"i just met him! i don't even know yet." she exclaimed.
"i'm teasing you, dot. it's ok." he gave a warm smile.
