chapter - one

It was currently morning and I was downstairs with my mom. My mom was washing the dishes and I was eating a bowl of cereal, right now my head is sprained because last night I got chased by police and I drove super fast making me hit the steering wheel.

"You know, mom, my leg really hurts today, I don't think I could go to church," I said eating a scoop of my cereal

"Maybe I should call your father," she said turning off the sink and turning around to look at me

"No. I'm not talking to him" I said a little angry

"This has gotta stop between you two. You can't do that. You need your father" she said making me annoyed

I was now in church listening to the priest.

"Let us be thankful today that a life was saved by our lord. And let us pray for the lives of the others involved who are clearly not on the path of righteousness" the priest said walking away

Making the choir people stand up and sing. Wish made me scratch my head I then see y/n singing since she's a part of the choir because her father is the priest.

Not gonna lie she sing very well, I then stare at her making her stare directly into my eyes.

The next day...

I was now in school sitting with my friends out on the school patio.

"So how's the leg man," My friend Jason said

"It's good." I said

"I still cant believe that you were in jail," said Ava

"Ya what did you tell them?" Jason said

"That it was a nice night to drive. Ended at the cement factory, found Adler, tried to help him,  got spooked and jumped. Figure i'd leave before they thought I was involved." I said

hand it to you. You're a Jedi master of bullshit," said my other friend Mason

"Damn, that Y/n Miller sure has style." said Ava looking at y/n wearing baggy clothes the sweater she always wears

We all then look at her walking towards the school

"Wore the same baggy clothes since fourth grade" Said Emily making all of my friends laugh

"It's the quiet ones you gotta watch. She might put it on a brother like Pop-tart. With a little maintenance, she might not look so bad" Said Mason

"Nice sweater," Said Emily since y/n was walking towards us

"Thank you," y/n said with a smile on her face and then walked away

We all then laugh

"Thank you", Mason said mocking y/n

I was now sitting in the principles office because I got in trouble, he then takes out a bunch of beer bottles from under his desk.

"student claims you were drinking on school property. Lucky for you Clay Adler isn't talking. The factory owners aren't. At least not today. I said i'd arrange appropriate punishment" Said Mr. Montes

are you gonna do expel me?" I said with a smirk on my face

"Not yet. Besides attending class, you will help our janitorial staff after school." He said,

"For pay?" I said

"For the inner satisfaction it brings, Saturdays mornings, you'll tutor students at our sister school. You'll take part the art in drama club final event." he said

"The spring play?” I said annoyed

"It's time for you to experience other things. Started spending time with other kind people. Don't blow it, Vinnie."
