Away Mission

Dick gave a charming smile, recalling last night's intimacy. "It was...eventful." he finally decided. "You would understand, being an engaged man yourself."

Connor had a look of shock on his face, then sighed. "You Bats knows way too much, I can never keep a surprise from you guys."

Dick promptly ignored that comment, clapping Connor on the shoulders. "Congratulations, fellow engaged man!"

"And to you," Connor replied as a grumpy young man came trotting through the side door of the garage with the afternoon sunlight on his back. The former Prince of Markovia had his hands in his pockets as he stopped dead beside Connor. Clearly, the last two days at Connor and Megan's house have been anything but familiar to the royal. Behind him came Lucas Carr, the newly named principal of Happy Harbor High and neighbor of Connor and Megan, and also a man who's a well-acquainted ally of the League and Team. Clearly, Brion was dragged here by Lucas.

"Good afternoon, Brion," Dick greeted. The Prince grunted in response.

"Why did you call me here?" He demanded in his thick Markovian accent. "In this...garage?"

Connor had obviously grown used to the young royal's harsh attitude. "Well, first of all, this is not just an ordinary garage," SB began. "The League and the Team had done some major modifications to it, even installed a Zeta Tube. I call this my Fortress of Semi-Solitude."

Just then, the Zeta Tube reared to life again.

"Recognized, Tigress B07. Pierce, Jefferson, G01. Halo G03."

"Hmm, didn't know there were G-designations," Lucas commented.

"There aren't," Dick confirmed. "Not officially anyway. See, when Jeff resigned from the League, Kaldur had to revoke his access. And Halo and Brion never had it."

"So you hacked the Justice League computer,"

"I hacked the Justice League computer," Dick said proudly.

Halo turned to the control panel beside the Zeta Tube, on the screen still displayed a 3D scan of her body and ID info. "Is this Halo?" She asked. "Is this me?"

"As much as we know," Dick replied, walking up to the panel. "Which isn't much. Yet." His fingers began to fly on the keyboard. "But I will run a match-search comparing your Zeta-Tube recognition file to all world databases to help us figure out your identity."

"I thought you were already on this," Artemis said, crossing her arms. "Percy told me you're on it."

Dick turned around and gave an awkward smile. "I am now..."

Connor chuckled, "I think he was busy with other things," And gave Dick a knowing smile. At this comment, Dick grew bright red.

Percy's POV

The Zeta Tube can only take her as far as Los Angeles, California. Percy had to catch a cab and walk a short distance afterward to get to the tunnel that leads to Camp Jupiter. On her way there, she received many messages from her friends both in the League and in the Team, all congratulating her on her new engagement with Dick. It really didn't take long for the Harper boys to spread the news, in less than 24 hours, all who are involved in the hero business have gotten wind of the good news.

Percy suppressed a smile and placed away her phone as she entered the tunnel. She nodded in greetings to the guards standing at the entrance and walked on. Camp Jupiter was busy as usual, even with the hot afternoon air, the forge was filled with tinkling noises and kids with purple shirts running by carrying a variety of weapons.
