It was late now chim had left because he had some important date so that left the rest of us.
Bobby was cooking in the kitchen I was sat at the table filling in some paperwork about a call hen and buck were fighting over some firefighter game they were playing

Chim walks in all sad
"Here chim your turn" hen says as he walks by
"What's up chim?" I ask and he still didn't speak he goes to the fridge and buck and hen walk up to him
"Am I a bad looking guy?" He ask "chimney ive done a whole lot worse than you" hen says "me too" I say still at the table
"You think I'd be a good father?" "Of course chim" hen says

I zone out as they continue talking. Next thing you know Bobby and chim are yelling at eachother
"Your upset I think we should drop it" "oh my god Bobby just say it what is it!" Chim yells "you know what your livin a lie man. You let her manipulate you. You make up stories to satisfy some hero fetish of hers you pretend to be someone your not." "Maybe I wouldn't have to make story if once in a while you'd let me do something!" Chim yells back.
Hen turns around and looks at me and walks over my way a little
"This relationship you two in are lies you even asked me to make you two dinner so you could pass it off as your own. She's not in love with you she's in love with this fantasy's version of you" Bobby says. Then buck comes over and starts setting up the table

Chim grabs his jacket and walks out
"Chim" I say looking at him. "Nope I'm getting some air" he said and leaves.
I look at everyone then back down at my paper. I then clean it up and take and put all of them away in Bobby's office.

A little later "alright everyone let's go." Bobby yells stepping out of the fire truck I look at buck funny and then back down at Bobby "what I didn't hear a bell" buck says
"It's chimney"let's go.
We all rush down stairs at the bell sounds I hop in the passenger seat of the ambulance and we take off.
We get there
"Alright guys hold back" Bobby says and hen. Buck and I stand there waiting. I had our bag and hen had our case.

Soon Bobby walks back and explains what's happend as we walk to chims car.
I get in the passenger seat of the car beside chin and check him. "Air way sounds good" I say. "You in pain?" Bobby ask "not much pain I can feel my legs but I can't move my head" "don't" we all day at the same time.
Chim had a piece of rebar stuck through his head to his seat. "Why aren't you guys cutting me out of here." "It's complicated" Bobby says "why?" "You've been injured chim" hen says "well how man is it" "it's not good" buck says standing against the hood of the car I give him a are you serious look.

bobby takes a video of chim because he insists to see whats wrong.

I grab a neck brace out of the bag and put it on chim the best I can without moving him "nice and tight right?" "of Course chim" I smile trying to make him feel better

then we strap him to the car because were taking the whole car to the hospital because its safer that way. "hey buck how's the car man?" he ask as there putting him on the tow truck "ah man you probably can buff most of that out" he smiles.

we pack everything up and head to the hospital

they get chim out and we have to leave to head back to the station and wait.

we were all on edge waiting for a phone call hoping chim was okay.

hen was doing a crossword. buck was pacing and I was watching him when bobby walks in

"I just got off the phone with the surgeon" "he alive?" buck ask "hes alive" "he still have both his eyes?" hen ask. "yea" "any brain damage?" I ask. "there was some complications he started hemorrhaging so they had to put him in a medically induce coma they'll let us know if his condition changes" "you mean if he wakes up?" buck ask "or if he doesn't" I say and we all look at each other

my shift was over.

I packed my bag. buck was on the phone talking to someone like always. I rolled my eyes at him "be careful your eye might get stuck in the back of your head l/n" "dont call me that Buckley." he smirks.

"ill see you guys tomorrow night" I say and wave as I walk to my truck and head to pick up dallas.

I walk in and she was eating at the table with the boys. "y/n!" she says I smile at her excitement to see me "hi beautiful" I say

my sister turns around and looks at me. "Dallas was just telling us how you came to her school today and brought the ambulance" my sister says sipping her wine. I laugh "yea I did we had just went to a call and I had to go immediately so yea" "oh y/n please join us" Luke my brother in law says. I sit down in the open seat beside dallas. I grab some salad out of the bowl and a piece chicken

"How was work?" Dallas looks at me "it was good how was school?" "It was ok" she says. As we eat and talk and enjoy time together before heading home.

I unlock the front door and Dallas runs in. I shut and lock the door behind us.

I hang her backpack on the hook like always.

"bath time" I say "5 minutes" she yells I laugh as I make my way up the stairs.

I go into the bathroom and Get a towel and wash clothe out and lay it beside the tub.

eventually she walks in "okay" "okay? you ready?" I ask she nods.

I was drying her off and dressing her for bed. "how come you have no friends?" she ask I give her a funny look "why do you think I have no friends?" I laugh as I put her on the counter to brush her wet hair.

"its Friday night and your with me" "okay? I choose to be with you" "because you have no friends" she giggles "you know what?" I begin tickling her. "stop" she yells laughing and I continue "ok" she says. and I stop eventually I smile at her as I put her down. she goes to her room "im going to take a quick shower ok?" she nods as she sits down in front of her dollhouse

I crack the bathroom door like always and I start the shower. I get in and the hot water hits my skin washing the day away. I wash my hair and body and get out feeling refreshed.

I wrap a towel around myself and walk out of the bathroom into my bedroom.

I put on a tank top and a pair of shorts.

"im out of the shower" I say as I walk back into the bathroom to brush my hair. Dallas didn't say anything. I peek into her room she was asleep in her bed. I walked in and pulled her covers over her and kiss her head.

I turn her lights off and crack the door.

I walk into my room and turn on a movie and then walk downstairs to the kitchen.
It started thundering
I need to be home more with Dallas I feel awful that I'm not with her enough.

I looked in the freezer and grabbed some ice cream I took a spoon from the drawer and dug into the ice cream carton.
When my phone rang.
I quickly answered it because it was loud and I didn't wanna wake Dallas it was a number I didn't know

"Hello?" I whisper with my mouth full. "Hey y/n?" "Buck?" I look at the number "yea Hey" he chuckled "how'd you get my number?" I ask still whispering
"Why are you whispering?" He ask "uhh it's late" "did I wake you?" " no buck" "ok good" "I'm litterally standing in my kitchen eating ice cream" I laugh a little "sounds pathetic" "did you just call me to say some stupid shit to me?" I ask now closing the ice cream carton and returning it back to the freezer and walking up the stair quietly "no I called to just talk I can't sleep" he admits I peak into Dallas room
"Shit" I say running to her I drop my phone on the bed "y/n?" "What happened?"
