"Question! How are we gonna break this to Kiera once we confirm everything?" Antonio asked.
Before anyone could answer, Jay's phone started ringing and it was the ringtone he set for Kiera. He walked over to his desk and picked up his phone.
"Talk about perfect timing." Adam said under his breath.
"Put it on speaker." Hank told Jay.
He answered the call and put it on speaker.
"Hey, champ." Jay said.
"Dad, guess what?" Kiera said on the other end.
"What?" Jay asked.
"Cheyanne and I tried out for the Trailblazers Cheer Squad and we both made it!" Kiera announced with excitement.
"No way! That's awesome! Congratulations!" Jay said.
"I'm sorry if I was interrupting you, I just found out and I couldn't wait to tell you." Kiera apologized.
"No, you didn't interrupt anything. We're actually about to head out, so I gotta go. But, I'll try to come up and visit later today." Jay said.
"Okay, be safe." Kiera said.
"You know I will. I love you." Jay said.
"Love you too, Dad." Kiera said, then the phone call ended.
"All right. Kevin, you and Adam pay Shane a visit to see if he's hiding anything. Kim, go visit Michelle. Antonio, you and Vanessa get a warrant to search her house for the drugs and notify Narcotics. We gotta stay ahead of the game before it takes a turn for the worst." Hank ordered.
Everyone went their separate ways, carrying out their orders. Adam and Kevin went to Stateville prison and requested to speak with Shane Sullivan. Unfortunately, their talk was not successful because Shane claimed to not know anything about stealing drugs on his robbery heists.
Antonio and Vanessa met with Narcotics at Michelle's old house, while Kim paid Michelle a visit at her new safe apartment. Narcotics found all the medicine bottles and they're running tests, which led to Kim having to bring in Michelle for questioning. This time around, she was open and honest about what's been going on behind closed doors.
"Looks like Theory #1 was correct." Hailey said as she walked back into the Unit.
Jay looked like he was in his own world, not hearing anything or paying attention.
"Hey, what are you thinking?" Hailey asked her partner.
"I always knew something was up with Michelle, but I didn't think it would've been this. Plus, I don't know how I'm gonna tell Kiera. She's so innocent and she doesn't need something like this on her conscience right before classes start." Jay expressed.
"I know, but you can't prolong it. It has to be said and that will give her some closure." Hailey said.
Jay nodded, then got up from his desk. He went out to his truck and drove to CCU. He texted Kiera that he's outside her dormitory and she came out. Jay drove her back to the District and guided her to the break room.
