It wasn't until one day, when Snape was feeling particularly brave, that he finally decided to speak to him. He walked up to his table, his heart pounding in his chest, and asked him what he was reading.

The man looked up at him, his eyes meeting his for the first time, and Snape felt something stir inside him. He knew then that he was falling in love.

Over the next few weeks, Snape and y/n spent more and more time together, talking about books and potions and everything in between. Snape found himself opening up to him in a way that he never had before, sharing his hopes and fears and dreams.

Y/n was a fellow professor at Hogwarts, and he taught charms. He was known for his kindness and his warmth, and Snape was surprised to find that he enjoyed spending time with him. He found himself looking forward to their conversations more and more each day.

But Snape was also afraid. He had never been in love before, and he didn't know how to express his feelings. He was worried that y/n would reject him, or worse, that he would laugh at him.

Despite his fears, Snape knew that he had to tell y/n how he felt. He couldn't keep his feelings bottled up
