Y/N lives in a village protected by Link, her good friend. Everyday she is trying to help everyone with their daily tasks. When she is tasked with bringing some herbs, she encounters a wolf followed by several men, unaware from now on she is up for...
"We have wounded!" Everyone swiftly turned their head and immediately stood up rushing to help Warriors and Paint. When I recognized the colorful tunic I hurriedly ran to them pushing through the others, quickly checking over Link, inspecting his head and body finding a stab wound on his right side. I took him from Warriors and Paint with tears in my eyes that I wish for to never come running down my face. Hyrule had already prepared a bed roll covered by a clean white cloth. I carefully, with Hyrules help, laid Link down.
"He has a stab wound on his right side. Can-Can I help with anything?" I asked not wanting to leave Link alone out of fear of losing him. I know he went through worse wounds than this but I can't help but worry.
"Actually, can you bring me my bag? I should have some potions and bandages there. It's in my tent, the brown one." I nodded and dashed off for the bag which I easily found, grabbing it and running back to where Hyrule is already healing Links wound. I set the bag down next to him opening it for him. "Any-anything else I could help with?" I tried to ask through my heavy breathing. "No but thank you. I'll let you know when I'm done, okay? For now, just try not to worry too much and join the others. I promise he'll be okay."
"Okay...and thank you" I looked at Links motionless body once more before leaving Hyrule to work peacefully and joining the others.
I noticed Warriors sitting on one of the logs in front of the pre-prepared campfire just starring into space. Not knowing what better to do I decided to sit next to him. "Hey..." I muffled. "How...How did that happen?" I asked my voice low yet wobbly from the tears I'm trying so hard to hold in, keep them away, hide them from everyone else. "He- he is a great swordsman. I know, I watched him practice almost every day." I held my head in my hands, hiding my head eventually between my knees to hide the tears that overspilled.
"I...have no idea how that happened." I looked over at Warriors who was now looking at his shaking hands squeezing them into fists, his knuckles turning white. "I found him bleeding and tried to do the best I could in that exact moment." I put my hand on his back rubbing it gently "Hey, you did what you could and I can't thank you enough for that." I tried to show him the best smile I could muster at the moment, understanding how he felt.
"This is his sword, right? I cleaned it already just give it to him when he wakes up. I need to clean myself up now. Thanks for the kind words by the way." With that I watched him disappear into his tent, leaving me alone. I held tight onto Links sword.
