"Max here." Max said, checking his mic.
"We hear you loud and clear, Sigma." Axis's voice said and the rest of the Group began checking in. Max rolled up his sleeves and slightly unzipped his jumpsuit, feeling the heat continuing to get under his skin. He already wanted to get out of the arena and back to his room.
"Now I'm going to quickly explain what's going to happen." The instructor began, "There are five oasis's around the arena. Each Group will be taken to one of these destinations and will await the order of us to begin. The oasis has a single flag and the point of this exercise is to get the flags of the other Groups. The first Group to get all the flags wins. As usual, you will be allowed to have a single weapon of choice and you will be encouraged to use them. The rules of normal training sessions apply, there will be no killing or maiming allowed. Fight to injure, don't fight to kill." The Groups nodded in understanding, beginning to mumble to each other about plans.
"I need each Group to get into the provided Jeeps so you can get to the start point. I wish you all good luck." The instructor said, stepping aside. Alexandra quickly led the Group to one of the Jeeps, stepping into the car with the others. A/C hit Max's face and he groaned, leaning back against the seat as the Jeep roared to life and began heading toward the starting point. He closed his eyes, silently begging to get some sleep while he still could.

The Group got to the oasis in under a half hour. The Jeep slowed to a stop, the engine cutting. Max grit his teeth as he slowly stepped out of the Jeep, the scorching sun beating down on his back. He could almost feel steam rising off his body and sweat beginning to form.
"Okay guys, let's get into the shade and await our orders. I can already see the weapons." Tempest sighed, watching as the Jeep began to disappear. Max watched it disappear for good before following his Group into the shade, his eyes landing on a small rack of weapons. There were two bows, a pipe, and a baseball bat. Max frowned, he wasn't very good with any of the weapons.
"Chet, weapons...." Tyler asked quietly.
"Gammas take the bows. Sigmas take the pipe and bat. The Gammas are better at shooting than you two brutes." Chet chuckled, directing the last comment at Max and Tempest. The two boys didn't complain, Tempest taking the bat and Max taking the pipe. As if reading each other's minds, the two of them swung the weapons at each other, a loud clank sounding when the metals connected. The two stepped back, grinning at each other. Max leaned on his pipe, trying to decide if Chet was right about the pipe being a good weapon for him or not.
"There are two different types of arrows, one that causes temporary paralysis and another that shocks its victims. It doesn't matter which one you two take." Axis ordered and the Gamma's shouldered their bows. They both took their quivers, attaching them to their waists by a belt.
"Now the flag should be near the spring. I suggest taking a long drink and I'm pretty sure there's a water bottle for each of you there." Chet ordered. The Group walked toward the spring and Max sighed in relief when he saw Chet was right, four canteens were waiting for them. Max grabbed one, shaking it and grinning when he found it was already full of water. He slung it across his chest, not daring to take a drink just yet in fear that he would run out in the middle of the hellish training session.
"How are we going to hide it?" Tempest asked, looking down at the bright pink, small flag in his hands. Max nodded, there was no way to hide a flag so bright.
"Alexandra, you're wearing a sports bra right?" Axis asked quietly through the silence. All the boys looked over at Alexandra, watching as her face turned bright red. She fidgeted in her spot, biting down hard on his bottom lip.
"Yes." She answered softly.
"Is it the red one?" Axis went on and if possible Alexandra turned even redder.
"Yes..." she mumbled, already beginning to unzip her jumpsuit. She glared over at Tempest, snatching the flag from his hands and narrowing her eyes. Max felt himself blush and he instantly turned around, hearing the ruffling of clothes behind him. His face continued to heat up until he felt Alexandra tap on his shoulder.
"It's hidden. No one will find it." Alexandra grumbled, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Good job, taking one for the team Alex!" Chet laughed into the earpiece and Max rolled his eyes, chuckling when he saw Alexandra was fuming. She looked like she was going to destroy Chet the next time she saw him. Max rolled his eyes, taking orders from Chet was definitely going to be a challenge.
Kind of a short chapter but i hope you guys like it anyway. Pic on the side is of Tyler. Luke Grimes is adorable <3 :)
