"Can't we stay here for a bit longer." I groan.

"Tomorrow, alright?" he pulls the blanket off him and starts rummaging through his cupboard.

I groan before getting out of the bed, I just wanted to sleep in.

He could tell I was freezing in my shirt, so he throws me one of his many hoodies, which was oversized on me, and his grey joggers.

I slip the clothes on as he finds his keys, we both eventually walk out of his room downstairs to see Sarah and John B in the kitchen.

I haven't 'made up' with John B, but I would say we're good with each other, basically because of the tiniest altercation we had yesterday.

I guess that's just how we were, we had an argument and then acted as if it never happened. Although, our last argument was the biggest one yet.

John B and Sarah were cooking together in the kitchen, her laughing as he guides her to flip the pancakes.

They were, cute?

And then I see Wheezie rolling her eyes at them on the island table, gluing her eyes back to her phone.

"Hi." I smile, walking towards Wheezie, sitting down next to her.

I hear Rafe huff before walking over to where me and Wheezie were.

"Oh hey Gia!" Wheezie says.

"I was wondering if Rafe-"

"Let's go." Rafe interrupts his sister, facing me.

"Geez, I was just about to say-"

"We need to go." Rafe continues interrupting her.

I look to Rafe, raising my eyebrows at him at how rude he was acting towards his sister.

"Whatever." Wheezie rolls her eyes at Rafe, glueing her eyes back to her phone.

"I'll see you later, okay?" I say whilst walking out to Wheezie as she nods, smiling at me.

Me and Rafe entered the bakery after a long drive on his motorcycle.

There was a large variety of different cakes, with decorations I've never seen before. This ought to be very expensive.

"Get that one!" I point to the lemon cake.

"Are you just saying that so we can go?" he chuckles.

"No." a grin appears on my face.

"I know I'm smiling but I'm not lying." I couldn't help but laugh with him.

"One lemon cake please." Rafe says to the worker.

The worker nods her head and packs the lemon cake in a cardboard box as he gets his wallet out. He puts the money on the counter in exchange for the cake, and he picks it up.

We were just about leave the counter, but two pairs of eyes met us before we could.

Of course. The birthday boy and Kelce.

"Rafe?" Topper looked confused.

"Uh, hey." he waves back awkwardly.

"What are you doing here, with her?" Kelce says.

"I just-" he stutters.

"We just bumped into each other." I say.

"At a bakery?" Topper laughs.

"Yeah, it's my dads birthday and apparently it's yours too." I make up an excuse.

"My birthday?" Topper furrowed his eyes with disbelief.

"Yeah, Rafe said-"

"It is your birthday, right Topper." Rafe raises his eyebrows as if he was signalling something.

What was happening?

"Dude, it's your birthday." Kelce laughs.

"What?" I look up to Rafe.

"Is it your birthday?" I ask him again.

He doesn't answer, but scoffs at his so-called friends.

"What's got him so mad?" Kelce chuckles, nudging Topper.

"Don't you remember?" Topper replies.

"Remember what-" Kelce adds.

Rafe sighs, and walks out of the bakery as if he was fed up of this conversation. Why didn't he tell me it was his birthday? And why did he get so upset about it?

"Oh shit, I remember." Kelce goes back to laughing.

"What?" I ask.

They look at me, confused on why I was still there.

"Remember what?" I ask again, angrier.

"It's none of your business?" Topper chuckles.

"Just tell me." I say, worried about what his answer would be.

Kelce pauses and sighs before answering.

"Look, every night on his birthday, he gets wasted on his mom's grave."

"Dude-" Topper tries interrupting him.

"Probably cos she died on his birthday." Kelce shrugs.

"What?" I say louder than I should've.
