"Why does it always has to be me God?" Dev questioned aloud while looking towards the ceiling probably trying to convey his words to God

"I know you can't answer, it's - it's so annoying at times" He said while ruffling his hairs making it look more messy

"Now, one - two - three. Breathe in - Breathe out" He gave a kind of warm up to himself before knocking the door

Knock knock

"Come in" He heard the strong masculine voice of his father

He chuckled nervously before entering in

"Hey dad, it's me, your son Dev" He said nervously

"I obviously see that, my son " Ajay said sarcastically

"Well dad i need to talk about something really important"

"Important - umm, go ahead" Ajay said while switching off his laptop and focusing all his attention towards Dev

"Dad it's a simple issue but it is really complicated" Dev said while taking a deep breath

"Today i met with an accident" He added further while looking here and there and trying to avoid an eye contact with his father

"Are you alright" He heard Ajay speaking in a worried expression as he forcefully made him to sit on the chair where his father sat initially

He slowly made a contact towards his father who was perhaps checking out for any sign of injuries

"I am alright Dad" He spoke calmly while standing up from the chair and offering the seat to his father

"It's not about me, it's about the other party involved, not that i caused any injuries, but guess what whom did i meet today?" Dev said in an exaggerating manner

"Who?" Ajay couldn't control his urge to know the information

"Rhea Mehra, herself" Dev spoke aloud and a phase of pin drop silence followed, Ajay was perhaps comprehending the sudden undesirable piece of information that he received while Dev patiently waited for his father to give a reaction

"Rhea Mehra, the daughter of Ab-"

"Yes, the daughter of Abhishek Prem Mehra" Dev completed his fathers words before he could

"Dev, you aren't joking right?" Ajay couldn't help but just confirm the information to prove somewhere wrong

"Huh, dad i have millions of better jokes to crack than the Mehras, but i am dead serious dad, i saw her " Answered Dev

"Are you sure Dev?" a state of denial was what gripped Ajay's mindset, he couldn't register the fact

"Yes dad, i am sure" Dev replied calmly

Ajay sat there speaking no words, he seemed to be lost in his own thoughts arguing with his inner self about the various reasons and finally after what seemed an hour, he spoke

"I got it, it's probably because of the Business Man of the Year Award that the Mehras are here at Mumbai" He said as he himself nodded to his words

"You're right dad" Dev spoke enthusiastically

"But dad, i am worried about Divi" Dev spoke meekly but that was loud enough for Ajay to hear it

"Dev, it's nothing to worry about, remember she's our warrior, she is strong and no one not even those Mehra's can break her now" Ajay smiled while assuring Dev and hearing his words Dev's all worries seemed to ebb out

"You're right dad, our Divi is strong" Dev smiled as he repeated a few words of Ajay

"And i need to leave for California for that project, so yeah it's finally California " Vihaan smiled lightly as he spoke

"That's such a great news Vihaan, congrats" Chandini who sat beside him said with a smile adorning her face

"I know" Vihaan whispered as he looked towards her

His eyes remained glued towards her face and it remained like that for long and how long, he didn't know

It wasn't the first time that he saw her smiling but instead it was the first time that maybe he saw something different in that smile, something more than what he had never seen

He saw her eyes that shone brightly under the illuminating moon

"Where are you lost Vihaan?" A sudden snap of fingers in front of his eyes broke his trance and he returned to reality

He looked again towards her who gave him a questioning look

"You said something" And that was all he managed to speak

"Of course Vihaan, i just asked you , aren't you happy? I mean you seem a little sad, is something bothering you? You can share it with me" Chandini said "Only if you are comfortable" She added quickly as she took a glance of Vihaan who seemed to be confused as he still struggled to comprehend her words

"I am unhappy?" Vihaan seemed to question himself as he repeated a part of her words with confusion

"What you are unhappy, but why?" Chandini immediately questioned him as soon as she heard his words

Vihaan normally shrugged as he still took some time to register her words, how lost did he seem and it was the first time that the Great Vihaan Thakur himself didn't know what he was speaking

"You are confusing me Chandini" He said with annoyance after two minutes

"What, you are saying it's me? How could you say this and most importantly you don't have any right to say this sentence as it's you who is confusing me, got is Mr. Vihaan Thakur" Chandini spoke as she crossed her arms across her chest fuming in anger

"You know what Vihaan it was you who was lost and when i asked you a really important thing you didn't respond"she added further

" Ohh really Miss. Chandini, do you remember the day May 9 when you, exactly you were the one who gave me file no 13 instead of file no 23 , who was lost at that time?" Vihaan stated

"Ohh really Mr. Vihaan, it would have been much better if you had stored something useful information in your small brain which is good for nothing" Chandini countered

"Ohh just accept it that you are jealous of my smart brain" Vihaan said while raising his imaginary collar

"What, me and jealous of your brain ohh sorry i mean smart brain, such a delusional person you're Vihaan" Chandini remarked letting out a sarcastic chuckle

"I am not delusional but instead you're jealous" Vihaan said while playing with his hair

"Okay so i don't want to argue any more and therefore i accept and come to the conclusion that i am smart and you're dumb and no further arguments"Chandini said as she took her exit while Vihaan proudly nodded his head until he realised the true words of Chandini

A. N- finally updated, 11th has started and yeah it seems overwhelming but at the same time the load of study has increased. Will try to update soon.
