[prologue pt 2]
As you reached the door of the great Sully family, you hesitated. Pausing at the door, you looked up at Jake, tears pricking the edges of your bright, violet-colored eyes. "Are you sure this will help?" Your voice shook. "Am I really free?"
Jake nodded. "Everything's gonna be alright from here gummy bear," He squeezed your shoulder gently and led you into his home.
Upon entering, you saw 2 boys, one older, looking around your age, and one younger, maybe by a couple years. You also saw a girl who looked a few years younger than you, and a toddler running around, squealing. The Tsahik, Neytiri, was chasing her toddler around, laughing. They looked so happy.
The eldest boy took notice to your arrival first. "Dad? Who's this? I've never seen her before," Staring at him, you weren't sure what to do other than stand awkwardly behind Jake. He nudged you in front of him gently, gesturing to introduce yourself. "I'm.." You stopped. These Na'vi had never met you before, so it's a chance to use your new name. "I'm Íkxhie,"
Jake looked down at you, surprised by your words. His gaze softened as he took a minute to put two and two together, fast. "Yes, this is Íkxhie. Lo'ak, come over here and greet.." He looked at you as to prompt what you preferred. "Well, I'm not your new brother but I'll be the best friend you've ever had," you said, dropping your sack of things to the floor. "I'm Íkxie," Your hand was extended to meet Lo'ak's, offering to shake it. As he took your hand, you noticed he had 5 fingers instead of 4.
"Woah, you have 5 fingers?" You exclaimed, looking at him. Lo'ak went slightly red, embarrassed and ready to be made fun of. "That's kind of cool bro. If it makes you feel better, I have something weird too. My hair is white because I have a condition called albinism. It makes my hair white and my eyes purpley-red. It could've made my skin white too, but I'm still blue haha," You smiled at him, to which he grinned back.
"Alright bro, that's pretty cool,"
Neteyam was next to approach you. "How old are you?" You cut right to the chase.
"I'm 13, about to turn 14,"
"Oh really? Me too! What's your name?"
"Neteyam,"
"Neteyam.. I like that. I'll call you Tete,"
Before he could protest, he thought of a new retort. "Then I'll call you Ixxie,"
"But that's not a stupid nickname, that's a cute one. If you want to humiliate me you gotta think harder Tete!"
"Boys'!" Jake cut in before anything else was said. "Íkxhie and Neteyam, you guys gotta get along. Okay?"
"We weren't argui-" A hand was slapped over your mouth. Neteyam's. "Sorry sir," He spoke quickly.
After escaping that hellhole of a home, you were committed to not letting people boss you around and walk over you anymore, so you bit Neteyam's hand. And not even lightly scraping it, plunging down into his skin with your fangs hard enough to draw blood. Which it did. "Don't touch me skxawng," You spat, wiping your mouth of whatever blood had dripped onto your lips and was dribbling down your chin.
Neteyam looked you dead in the eye, as if daring you to fight him. You couldn't back down from that, fighting was a thing you loved to do, anytime, anywhere.
Neytiri had finally caught up with that baby creature thing, and walked over to her son and you. Examining you thoroughly, you expected her to smack you for biting her son. Instead, she said nothing and only looked back up at her mate. "MaJake, are you sure about this?" Her thick accent was soothing to your ears, causing your attention to drift over to her and Jake's conversation.
"After seeing the situation sh- he was put in, I knew I had to do something. The stuff being done to Íkxhie, it isn't right," Jake explained.
"Well yes, I get that. But really, allowing him to live with us before barely meeting him? This is reckless MaJake,"
The girl from earlier, later identified as 'Kiri' was also listening to her parents' conversation, leaning over your shoulder. Her small hand placed on your arm had moved there subconsciously, as she started at her parents from the next room.

"Tete! Give it back skxawng!" You and Neteyam had been running around in a wild goose chase, trying to catch one another. You were both 14.
"I swear to Eywa if you get any closer- It's literally mine Ixxie!" Neteyam yelled, looking over his shoulder, laughing hard. "It's mine so get away!"
"Liar! I had it first! You're gonna spill it, be careful damnit!"
Jake cut in right there to grab your shoulder. Damn, he always has the best fucking timing, huh.
"Woah, watch your language gummy bear," He said, his voice slightly raspy from yelling at Lo'ak and you the night before because you guys snuck out and stole some meat.
"But-" You were ready to defend yourself, but got cut off by Kiri.
"Dummy, Neteyam got the fruit piece first. It's his," She rolled her eyes a little, not believing the immaturity of her two older brothers.
You flipped her off immediately to which she did the same, sticking her tongue out as well.
"Fuck you Kiri," You laughed, shoving a hand into her face.
"Penis face!"

"Hey Lo'ak! Wanna go fishing?" Enthusiasm lightened your eyes, face glowing with excitement.
"Obviously! There's nothing else to do around here bro,"
"We should go ask Neytiri first, I know Jake will say no," You said, knowing Jake would never let Íkxhie dearest and poor precious Lo'ak go into the woods unsupervised.
At that, you and Lo'ak went to find Neytiri, who was tending to Tuk. "Neytiri?"
"What is it child?" She responded absentmindedly, focusing all her attention on her baby.
"Can Lo'ak and I go fishing? PLEASEEEE?"
As if on cue, you and Lo'ak presented the saddest, most endearing and adorably pleasing look one could even fathom, desperation and mischief hinting in your eyes.
"Atch, alright. Neteyam will watch over you two," she said, not taking notice to the puppy eyed display in front of her. "Kiri will go with you three as well,"
"Aw really? I have to watch them? They're less mature than Tuk, especially Íkxhie!" Neteyam protested, walking in right as Neytiri delivered her verdict. "At least Kiri is normal.."
"Damn right I am," Kiri appeared at your side somehow, almost as if she just spawned out of thin air.
"Whatever, let's go catch some fish losers!" Lo'ak exclaimed, slapping the back of Netryam's head. "Stop being so perfect bro, we all know you're just gonna run off with Íkxhie and murder each other,"
"We- when have we ever done that?" Neteyam crossed his arms across his chest, a glare flitting over his face.
"Well.."
