Mina's Pov

It wasn't there. The blanket. It was gone. Instead she found a note.

Don't think about ever running away again. It won't help you. We will always find you, no matter what. Wherever you are. You want it back? Come to the park at 7pm. We can't wait to see you again.

She read the note a total of seven times, hoping that it would say something different the next. As if the note would get scared and run away, vanish into thin air as if it never existed in the first place. But nothing changed. The note stayed in her trembling hands and the blanket didn't magically appear where she left it in the drawer. Mina's cheeks started burning and her world became blurry. Her tears were an unstoppable river of emotions as she slowly slid down to the ground.

It was dangerous to meet them. Way too dangerous. She didn't know how many there would be and Mina couldn't imagine that they would just show up and chit chat while drinking tea. She would have found the thought funny under other circumstances. The young woman was especially scared of the leader. Min Jinyoung. The name alone sent shivers down her spine. On one hand, she knew it was dumb and a trap. On the other hand however, she needed that stupid blanket. It was the last thing that was left of HER. Im Nayeon.

She could just text Jackson and ask Dahyun for help. She had to do something. Anything, but serve herself on a silver platter.

Dahyun's Pov

Chaeyoung and Dahyun sat down on her big couch in the living room. They shared a ablanket and drank hot chocolate. It has been a stressful day for them and their arms hurt from carrying the canister.

Suddenly, Dahyun's phone started ringing. It was Mina. Without any hesitation she took the call. Chaeyoung raised her eyebrows and mouthed:"Who is calling?"
"Hey Mina, what's up? Everything alright?", Dahyun asked and Chaeyoung cocked her head to the side. She should have known.
Mina didn't say anything for a while. Dahyun untangled herself out of the blanket and sat on the edge of the couch. Mina's sob gave Dahyun the go. She took hold of Chaeyoung's sleeve and dragged her to the car, not leaving her enough time to put her shoes on properly. Dahyun turned the loud speaker on and pressed the phone into Chaeyoung's hands. Thank god they tanked up earlier. "I have some good news Dahyun. I got promoted a month ago" Dahyun blankly stared at her. Then something in her eyes lit up. "You are allowed to carry a gun now?" Chaeyoung nodded slowly. "Well it's a bit more complicated than that but yeah. We would have to inform the police here if something really bad has happened though. What's going on anyways?" Dahyun's face turned grim. "Something is wrong. I can feel it." "No shit Sherlock. I've never seen you this tense and angry. What's going on Dahyun?" Dahyun turned her gaze to the road and started the car, slamming both of the women back into their seats.

Dahyun raced to the hospital in pyjamas and a speed that couldn't be legal . Chaeyoung fixed her attention to the phone. You could hear heavy breathing and occasional sobs from the other side. At least she hasn't hung up yet. "Mina?", Chaeyoung whispered into the phone. No one answered. "We are on out way honey. You got this."She frowned and her grip around the phone became tighter. Dahyun pressed the pedal harder and Chaeyoung held her other hand on the door. "Is it smart to drive this stupidly fast with a police officer in your car?", Chaeyoung asked, partly scared that they will end up in a car crash. "OH I BEG YOU. THIS IS A FUCKING EMERGENCY!", Dahyun yelled, her sight fixed on the street. "Well, you don't know for sure." You could her the doubt in her own statement.

In the parking lot Dahyun didn't care about parking her car properly and blindly ran into the hospital, her gaze fiexed in the entrance. Chaeyoung had her grip tight around her police officer ID and her other hand hovered over her concealed gun. Dahyun had ripped her phone from Chaeyoung's hand as soon as they had parked. Chaeyoung had never seen her like this. It was unlike her to be this furious about something.

Dahyun saw a figure in the dark corridor to Mina's room. The stranger held a flashlight in one hand and a phone in the other. The display kept blinking. Without thinking twice she tackled the figure to the ground. Chaeyoung came running, trying to discern the man on the ground. "Stop" I know him!", she whispered loudly. She took hold of Dahyun's fist midair. "Whoa Chaeyoung. Your friend is really... strong." He smirked and turned to Dahyun. "I'm Jackson Wang. Distant co-worker of Chaeyoung. Pleasure to meet you." "Kim Dahyun. Sorry about that. Are you hurt?"
"Nothing I can't handle. I've been through worse. I presume you aren't here to chat with me though. Could you help me to find Myoui Mina's room?" In a daze Dahyun nodded. "You are on her side?" "Yes.", Jackson said. "And I think something happened. We need to be quick."

Dahyun didn't have to be told that another time. She motioned Jackson to follow her and together the three of them ran to Mina's room, hoping they weren't too late.
