"well you gotta learn how to love all your kids equally," charlotte replied, taking weenie's place in gracie's arms the second he hopped off the couch.

charlotte always felt too comfortable in gracie's arms, always too warm and cozy to not fall asleep. and even though it was still early in the morning, she closed her eyes rested her head.

gracie laughed and brushed charlotte's hair away from her face, "no, get up, your driver is coming in like twenty minutes. then i can pick you up after the interview and you can sleep once i leave your place."

charlotte sighed, "as long as we can order dinner in. im not in the mood to cook tonight."

gracie'a hand paused from brushing through charlotte's hair, and the actress felt her breathing also pause. furrowing her eyebrows, she raised her head to look up at gracie, only to see her looking away.

"um, sure yeah whatever you want."

"yeah i think Malaki, who plays Ravi," definitely helped me the most with memorizing all my lines, we just really connected over the process of shooting and he's really become one of my best friends," maddie said, casually running through another question the interviewer asked.

"many people have been speculating that you and malaki are becoming a little more than friends, any input on that?" chuckled the interviewer.

maddie uncomfortably glanced away, "um maybe, who knows."

charlotte tried to hide her grin, knowing damn well that maddie and malaki are in a situationship and will probably go public with that soon enough.

"what about you charlotte, have you connected well with any on set?"

charlotte eyed the camera with a smile, "yeah, well me and maddie really became so close during filming, the day i met her for the first time at table read i just fell in love with her she's like the sister i never had," she warmly chuckled, maddie flashing a smile. "malaki is also the sweetest, and the rest of the cast is truly amazing to work with."

"moving towards; charlotte, could you give us some light on you and gracie abrams relationship? have you two blossomed into a friendship after years of rivalry? many have been wanting to know since all of the sightings of you two together."

her nails anxiously dug into the cushion of her armrest, and she could feel the interviewers gaze burning into her, "um, i wouldn't say the two of us were really rivals, more so our  parents," she awkwardly chuckled. "but um, no i guess we've just been to the same events recently. i don't really know her... but she seems like a sweet person."

maya who was standing off in the corner gave a sigh of relief and flashed charlotte a thumbs up.

"and the other day you mentioned in a hollywood fix clip that you have no idea who alex monaghan was... considering you aren't friends with gracie as you say, you really don't know?"

charlotte's breath came out shakey, "um yeah i don't know who he is."

"interesting," chuckled the interviewer.

charlotte gave an uncomfortable laugh in response, rushing her hand through her hair. she glanced at maya, who's eyes were glaring into the interviewers. she then glanced to charlotte and gave her a nod.

"so, maddie do you think charlotte matches with any guys," he asked.

see, this is why charlotte hated men interviewers. always asking about boys of interest and never about her work. charlotte was also known for being a celebrity many assumed as open to dating girls, and since she is, she never out a stop to the assumptions which gave people enough of an answer to know that their thoughts were true. but it was never like those make interviewers would ask her if she was talking to any girls unless it seemed controversial, like gracie.

she remembers when she was with matthew and when they broke up, all most interviewers would ask was about the breakup, even though it was obviously none of their business. but charlotte could never say that. she's be labelled as rude and a bitch all because she's a women who doesn't want to leak every aspect of her life for it to be judged. if she was a man though, she'd be seen as powerful for keeping her person life to her self and mysteriously hot. sometimes she envied matthew for that and how he was treated compared to her.

"oh no of course not, because they would have to go through me to get to her first," maddie joked, effortlessly dodging the question.

the interviewer laughed, "love that. so anyways, how has your guys's experience with working with holly jackson, the writer, and has she been keeping the scenes similar to the book the most it can be?"

"oh yeah, she's amazing..." maddie started, trailing off into a heartfelt tangent about holly as charlotte finally felt her tightened chest relax and her jaw unclench.

she noticed the clock in the back and let out a breath of relief since there would only be another half hour of the interview before wrapping up.

after going through about a dozen more questions and a little game of 'who's most likely to,' charlotte hopped off her chair with maddie following in suite.

"so, wanna go get drinks or something? you seemed a bit tense in the beginning of the interview," maddie said, watching charlotte sip back her water.

"i would but i got plans," charlotte frowned at maddie. "besides i'm gonna be a lot less tense where i'm going," she grinned, getting maddie to flash a confused look.

"please don't tell me you're having another one night stand."

charlotte chuckled, "no, more like i'm ordering in pizza and having wine."

"without me?" maddie gasped dramatically. "let me know when you're free next to go out, i cannot keep going clubbing with malaki, he gets bored of being out within like ten minutes.

"cause he'd much rather be alone with you in bed—"

maddie slapped charlottes arm to shut her up with a laugh.

"i'll text you when, bye mads," charlotte waved and turned the other direction to where she ran into maya.

"charlotte, good job today, you and maddie are just adorable together," maya grinned, squeezing her into a hug. "want a ride home? i noticed your car isn't here."

shit.

"um, no i'm okay, i'm going to hang back a bit my uh brothers giving me a ride."

maya stared into charlotte's eyes instead of responding, nodding slowly, "sure. i'll see you soon then."

"yeah," charlotte smiled watching maya turn to catch up with maddie who was leaving the studio.

letting out a sigh of relief, charlotte made her way to the parking lot through the other exit, and scanned the parking lot for gracie's black car.
