behold—my very first cover that went beyond just a slap of text on an image. This came to life in like, late 2020 or early 2021, and this was the cover that made me fall in love with pixlr. Because at the time, I was debating on whether I should just stick to canva or explore pixlr more (because there were so many tools and options, my God! I felt dumb trying to find the head and tail of everything) but then, this happened and I was like, you know what, I'm not as dumb as I thought I was 🙃Side note, this cover was heavily inspired (although now, in hindsight, it's not inspired really, more like, "passionately recreated" 😂) by the FREAKING AMAZING cover that my graphic-guru/sensei Nikkie (NikkieKookie) made for my book (after I maybe, kind of, ahem, forcibly demanded her to make me one, because why the hell not? 😁)
(ignore my crappy pseud on the cover, it's a part of my "dark" past that I do not wish to unearth)
Of course, her cover looks SO much better than mine and I was so damn mesmerized by it that I was like, "I AM GONNA TRY RECREATING THIS IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO," and well, I guess my efforts weren't altogether too bad 🫠
Anyways, I'm trying my best not to bawl my eyes out right now because this feels so damn nostalgic all of a sudden 😭 Because Hidden Scars was my first fanfic here on Wattpad and the first book that I completed and man, it holds so many good memories that I'll never forget 🥲
(sigh) anyways, that's all for now. I don't think I need to go through an in-depth description of how I made the cover because, one, I don't remember and two, there's nothing much to describe here, to be honest 😂
I know these resources are probably unsafe, but I didn't know about this whole safe resource thing at the time, so please excuse my carelessness 🥲
