Wednesday Addams and Enid Sinclair were two girls who couldn't be more different from each other. Wednesday was dark and brooding, with a fascination for all things macabre and supernatural. Enid, on the other hand, was bright and outgoing, with a love for all things colorful and whimsical. But despite their differences, they were the best of friends.

One day, they decided to take a trip to the nearby carnival. Wednesday was reluctant at first, but Enid convinced her that it would be a fun adventure. As they made their way through the crowds of people, Enid's excitement was infectious. Wednesday found herself enjoying it.

They played games and went on rides, with Enid dragging Wednesday onto the most colorful and cheerful attractions. Wednesday couldn't help but feel a little out of place in such a bright and happy environment, but she pushed her reservations aside and focused on enjoying the moment.

As they wandered through the carnival, they stumbled upon a fortune-teller's tent. Enid was eager to have her fortune told, but Wednesday was skeptical. Nevertheless, they both stepped inside.

The fortune-teller was an old woman with a crystal ball and a deck of tarot cards. She looked at Enid's palm and began to speak in a low, mysterious voice. "You have a bright future ahead of you, my dear," she said. "You will find success in all your endeavors and be surrounded by love and happiness."

Enid beamed with excitement, but when it was Wednesday's turn, the fortune-teller's tone changed. "Your future is dark and uncertain," she said. "You will face many challenges and obstacles, but if you stay true to yourself, you will find your way through the darkness."

Wednesday was satisfied by the fortune-teller's words, but Enid envisioned the opposite. She put a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, Wednesday," she said. "No matter what happens, I'll always be here for you."

As they left the tent, Wednesday couldn't help but feel a sense of foreboding. But as she looked at Enid's smiling face, she knew that she had a person who would always be there for her, no matter what the future held. And for the first time in a long time, Wednesday felt a petit glimmer of hope in her heart.
