Tranquil

I peel my mask over, one last stop before we go out west.
Dreaming of that wad of cash to make my life so blessed.

Into the bank I go, the banker smile, "How can I help you?"
I smile, then pass an empty bag, "You know what to do."

The banker nods, "So, how are the kids?" he asks as he fills the bag.
"Oh they are doing grand, both in college up state." I brag.

"I see why this must be done." The banker teases.
"Ain't that the truth." And a laugh releases.

Such a tranquil feeling, when sirens go off, blue and red flashing.
I take the bag, "Well, that's my cue. I best be dashing."

Word Prompt

When I first saw this prompt I was looking forward to writing about flowers, and Spring. Then I saw the challenge prompt, and a bank robbery came to mind. Kind of a light hearted view.
